Kotaku: Unfortunately, Quantum Break Looks a Bit Rubbish

Ryse gets a bad rap for its gameplay, it's no more repetitive than a game like Assassin's Creed and Ryse generally had really fun gameplay in the same way AC can be fun while doing the same thing over and over.

Ryse was way more fun than AC that is certainly true.

If this game was coming to multiple consoles it would be nothing more than a footnote. Exclusivity has bolstered this game's profile greatly. I have never seen what is so special about this game. Not saying it is rubbish and it will resonate with people but the coverage and inclusion in list wars has never been deserved imo just from the media available.

Quantum Break does look rubbish. It looks like a paint by numbers third person shooter. Time powers? Could be cool. How do they work? Well there is a time shield, and time dodging, and a time grenade, and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Could be anything. Psychic shield, psychic dodge, psy grenade. Flame shield, flame dodge, flame grenade. Ice shield, frost dodge, ice grenade zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Quantum Break looks like The Order. Like of course we are going to make a third person shooter. No reason to spend any more time than necessary on the gameplay mechanics or even simply thinking does the world need another cinematic third person shooter. Instead, tell me more about who will star in the cutscenes!

Comparing Quantum Break to The Order is highly insulting to the former.

Breaking news: people have differing opinions, forums predicated on idea, and on the idea that gamers cannot do anything but obsess over preview tidbits before release.
