Hell I thought it was so cool how Sony released Mark of Kri in the PS2 era, a game heavily based on Polynesian culture, it was so unique and a real outlier at the time.

Same with Akuji The Heartless on PS1 by Crystal Dynamics/Eidos, that was the first 3D action adventure game to center on a Black main character.

Both of those examples were so cool to me as a brown kid/early teen in the US.

What's going on now with all this bastardization (eg. race/gender/sexuality swaps, history rewriting etc), now is inorganic, targeted social engineering. Its infuriating.
