It’ll cost a whopping $460, and all purchases between June 1 and June 7 (while supplies last) will come with a bonus Fell Beast set, featuring posable wings for the creature and an accompanying Nazgul minifigure to ride it.

That is the biggest issue ImO. The only one week for the bonus. Should be longer. Maybe two weeks.

At almost 5500 pieces and being licensed, I was worried for north of $500. Especially because it doesn't seem to be made of one million 1x1 tiles like the Rivendell set.

"While supplies last", so won't last half a day probably. And while I'm not one to look a gift fellbeast in the mouth, I would feel like I missed anything if I don't get it, it doesn't even look good...

Ordering it as soon as I can on the 1st! I am beyond excited for the model. Hoping I can get the Fellbeast as well.

Looks great, but also stupidly overpriced IMO.

This should be closer to 200 to 225 total.

Just started the raiders of lost ark set with my son.

Havent made a ton of progress yet, but i love the whip and idol pieces

Wasnt expecting the whip to be so flexible

I really really want the Titanic. Gotta justify the price on a LEGO.
That being said- I will be picking up the new Lamborghini Countach.

Get ready for some crazy clever engineering in the final section. It's important for some parts inside to be lined up perfectly before you cover up all the mechanics, so be careful trading steps (y)

Jaws set announced.

That is really cool! For now I have just stuck with buying the Star Wars Lego Display sets. Though if they were to do a Blade Runner or Terminator Display set, I would pick it up in a heart beat.

As an aside, what do y'all think will be the next major UCS for Star Wars and Lord of the Rings sets for 2025?

We just got Barad-Dur for LOTR in 2024 and the Tie Interceptor for Star Wars in 2024 with Rivendell, Venator, and X-Wing last year for 2023.

I am *really* hoping for maybe a cheaper LOTR set like a highly detailed Bag End set for 2025 and a new UCS Tie Fighter model (though maybe it would be too similar to Tie Interceptor?).

Also picked up Optimus Prime using points from my previous LOTR purchaes and love it. Excited to get Bumblebee in a few weeks. Really hope for a Megatron and Soundwave set at some point in the future.

Dr. Claus Dr. Claus i don’t know. Maybe a Death Star. Lotr may be times for helms deep or minis tirith.

Death Star could be cool, but only if it isn't like the "play sets" they released. I prefer a massive complete death star exterior. Not just a rough orb shape with various play sets within.

Minis Tirith and Helms Deep I could see, but they would need to be either Microscale or 800+ USD sets to get the details you would want in both.

Modern Business Lego report.

If lego become the new tulip bulb, ie speculative bubble, that would be AMAZING! I want lego to keep to their high quality standards. I've built knock off sets and the bricks are garbage (it only takes 1% or less to not fit well or look off and it really ruins the experience) and the instructions suck. Lego sets as premium adult display is a nice niche for them, you can always just give a kid some random bricks and let them improvise.

I would like to see logo do ultra premium METAL sets with METAL LEGO pieces. They would be thousands of dollars but I can think of a few sets I would rebuy.

Oh goddamn that is nice. Can you still get the cantina? If so, might just have to dive in. Though no skiff sucks, Maybe there is a separate skiff with sarlacc set out there?

The cantina is old and on the precipice of being discontinued.

I did want to grab it before this point but yeah Lego has just spiraled completely out of control lately.

I have 6 sets still in box (at least) plus about 10 sets broken down after my last move, still to be reassembled. So I slept on the mos Easley set, the AT-AT, star Destroyer, and I think the speeder. Its just too much to display, though once i get started on a set its all great. I do prefer the "play" sets like this barge versus the pure display builds as star wars stuff tends to be a mass of light grey, grey, and black blocks with repeated sections.

I'm most weak towards vehicles I never grabbed before. For example I still have the very first version of the AT-AT and ISD from around 2003. So I never touched any subsequent versions. But I missed prior Sail Barges and actually really wanted it back then, so this $500 version is a gut punch.

My father bought me the Titanic 2 months before he passed away in February this year. That thing is so big that I can’t put it anywhere. Bothers me greatly. Not buying a single other set until I can get it done.

I have mine on the buffet in my dining room. And what a lovely gift from your dad.

And if you dunk the model into your bathtub you can show how the ship looks today!

I’m a huge transportation history guy. This one is tempting, especially since I have studied the fascinating history of Shackleton and the HMS Endurance.

I’m still waiting for the Wright One Flyer. I know they had one years ago for kids, but I really want one from the adult Icons series like this one.

I did a book on the expedition this year and it was amazing.
