I have to say, while I hate the idea of bootleg stuff and stealing other peoples work like this, after looking at some videos and reviews of lepin stuff the quality seems to be really good. I'd say its at least megablox level. There's no large gaps between pieces, the connections seem to be solid and not loose, the colors are actually very close to actual lego pieces, only problem is that the minifgures look weird sometimes and there's frequent missing pieces. I'm not buying them because I dont want to support stuff like this, but its kind of impressive that someone can come out of nowhere and replicate lego so well like this.
And considering how lego has been arbitrarily increasing prices on a growing number of their sets (yes it may be a difference of .11-.12 cents per piece in some larger sets but when thats translated to real world dollars that could mean $20-50) I could understand why people would look to knock offs. Again I'm a purist so I wont do that type of thing as I want to support the company's hard work. Generally if I find something that costs too much I just wait until the sets are a year or two old and are being sold for $20 off or something at retailers
