Got the Crossbones set and I'm debating to get the BP Chase set because Black Panther and his jet but then, I would have another Cap and Bucky.
Trains don't use magnets anymore? That's really a shame...Yeah, but then dumb kids started eating them. LEGO just wouldn't take the risk these days.

Get the black panther set. The panther minifig is pretty nice. The helm piece for his ears is made of hard plastic, not soft like some of the older ones (Darth Maul, etc.), I like it better. You get two of them btw. He's a great minifig to add to your Marvel collection. I think this set is going to start flying off shelves once the masses get exposed to Black Panther, who is rather obscure to most people right now.
His ship is nice, a bit small but that's a $30 set for you
Oops, I read it as the sets are on sale as in discounted. Followed link and was like, that looks like MSRP. LOL

Have you seen the magnetic piece we're talking about?I don't think any kids are shoving entire trains in their mouths.

Nobody is suggesting otherwise though. However you have to realize that at this moment you are going to pay close to $20 shipped to get him on his own. You get a hell of a lot more for only $10.Let's be honest, most of those Super Hero sets are only worth it for the minifigs
Dat moment when you are ready to contact Lego, all pissed off that one of their QC staff missed a piece and that you are now having to through all this hassle only to give the pile of bricks another search just for the hell of it even though you already checked it SO MANY TIMES and then actually SEE that damn piece.

I'm thinking of starting to buy some of the modulars but I'm wondering what's the first one that will be retired? Need to prioritise buying order.
Ive just found a whole heap of the 40121 Easter egg-painting sets from last year in my nearby supermarket. I thought they were a timed thing for last year- didnt think they'd be getting released again?
Picked up three all the same like the dirty hoarder that I am.
Nah Tesco up near John O Groats!
I was convinced they were S@H exclusives but no matter. Wins a win!
A local retailer has the Angry Birds sets for sale now. I guess S@H will get them on March 1st as well. They don't generally look too interesting and I can't remember if they include any must-have parts.
If I'm keeping track correctly that means that we're getting Elves, Speed Champions, Angry Birds, Minecraft and Marvel in this lot.
Hey guys just got into LEGO again this year, with Star Wars (got Poe's X-Wing, Rey's Speeder, and First Order TIE Figher). Building is a blast and I love how I can just zone out for 3 hours and just put pieces together. I have a question though, why are minifigs valued so much? I feel like I'm missing something when I hear you guys buying unimpressive sets just for minifigs.
To me the building is the highlight of the experience; the minifigs are just a small piece of that and I could honestly be happy buying vehicle sets that don't have minifigs at all - they are just 3 or 4 pieces out of hundreds, after all.
Are people collecting them for display on raised platforms like amiibos?
Not for the U.S., at least. They are on the April calendar, though.A local retailer has the Angry Birds sets for sale now. I guess S@H will get them on March 1st as well.

I wish out store got the elephant, but for some reason we only got parts for the plane. Granted there were still useful parts to me, but I want elephantsHere's the contents of a large cup I picked up today. That's the elephant from this quarter's Pick a Model.
So you know how they talk about shedding blood, sweat, and tears while building great monuments? Well I had put off building out the rest of the Orthanc Circle for Brickworld Indy to this weekend which was my last available weekend for me to do it on and this Thursday I just happened to come down with a bad case of Hand, Food and Mouth virus that I caught from the baby. Needless to say, my hands are covered in blisters right now and blood, sweat, and tears are being shed while building. I need to get at least the base done this weekend, I can get the rest done on Friday March 11th during setup. A new lesson not to wait till the last minute before finishing something.
Hand, Foot, and Mouth is the worst thing I have ever suffered. I have found it to be far more sinister than flu. You start with feeling dizzy and suffer a full 2 days of pounding migraines that you never thought were possible to be that bad. Every part of your body is super sensitive to temperature and touch. On the 2nd day the migraine is still there and nothing works to treat it and you develop a fever of 102 and diarrhea and dehydration. You also develop a sever sore throat that makes strep seem minor. You pretty much rather drool than swallow and antibiotics don't treat it of course. Your throat blisters up. On the third day you wake up to sever hand itchiness. fortunately I didn't get them on my feet cause the hands were bad enough. All you can take really is pain medications like benadryl and benzocaine lozenges. At about noon today after about 8 hours of painful itchiness, my hands broke out into hundreds of little blisters that I hope to god don't surface cause there's too many.
I can't believe this is a children's disease cause its horrendous.
I am wearing surgical gloves while i build and gloves on top of those gloves when I can so I do not have to Lysol the whole thing later and mess with the plastic.
40220 London Bus has been listed on Brickset as an upcoming promo polybag, probably available in conjunction with the Big Ben set (or close to it).
Little while left on the Amazon sales.... Tempted to pull the trigger on the corner deli... Don't see it going under $30 anytime soon, if at all.
Get two and turn it into Bob's Burgers
Power Functions 2.0 coming next year.
Very curious to see the remotes, how it affects trains, what the battery solutions will look like, and how small they can make everything.
Thanks - now that is interesting news. Though if it doesn't come with an accompanying smartphone app I will be surprised.
Would love to see if Lego can start to approach the remote control of the 12v train days
