Life is a gift!

No one is going to succeed in convincing a jaded/depressed person that life is a gift.

But the thing is that the label doesn’t matter. It’s an opinion, and opinions change. It can be a curse today and a gift tomorrow.

Life just is.

It’s up to you to give it meaning. I’m sorry that you are going through some things you would rather not have to go through, for whatever the words of a stranger mean to you. I hope that coming out of the other side you can find a spark again. Maybe it’s something you forgot about in all the “fun” with your ex, or maybe it’s something new.

For me life is just an opportunity to experience "existence". Space, time and matter. There's no point to all this nor any logic, yet it's there. So we are more like witnesses. Would be even more futile than it already is if there was nobody alive with enough intelligence to see that things actually exist and process the fact.

I actually hate living, i'm old, broke, lazy, single, ugly and depressed most of the time. But i also hate the idea of non-existence now that i already experienced it (death), plus i'm curious to see how things will progress with humanity and i'm sad that i can only be a part of a few decades of history myself. I feel lucky when i think of the people who lived in the middle ages where nothing changed for 1000 years and it was just a boring existence of hardships. But i'm also feeling unlucky because i will never experience what humanity will be in 500 years from now. Imagine living in a reality where your vacation destination plans would include Mars or any of the Saturn's satellites.

Edit: Watch the movie "The man from earth".
