Tried it but personally could not get into it. Combat felt extremely spammy and lacked any sort of strategy but only played for a couple hours in public lobbies back at launch so this probably didn't help. Too invested in other MP shooters to want to learn anything else anyway.

Expectations were mid and this blew them out of the water. Really great game that has a ton of depth. Feels like it was made from people who actually plays games.

Cost of cosmetics as in most games like this are completely outrageous. Having said that it doesn’t effect gameplay so I don’t care too much.

Spent $5 on battlepass and probably have 100 hours or close to at this point. If they would charge $5 or so per skin I’d probably have bought 4+. 16-22 per is waaaaay too much though.

Also really hate that I can’t cross platform play competitive and there isn’t cross progression. Big miss

Rival is much more stylised but UA still looks decent for an old Switch game. Marvel Super War also looks alright but has a mass-produced Chinese game aesthetic to it. Definitely would like to see more of Rivals/UA3 takes. Down with the dull grounded takes that that Avengers game had.

On topic, that's impressive. It's a fun game and the characters are mostly fun to experiment with. The maps are kinda boring now.

not my thing, looking at footage of the game and it seems like a generic OW/Hero shooter clone. I mean ig the characters are prettier than concord, but that's a pretty low bar all things considered

I dont think the avg western dev even cares about style.

It's all about using the biggest budgets and more complex tools to make realistic art, which they can promote to Hollywood studios grifting for a highly paid VFX job working on movies.

It's kind of like the marketing guy at work promoting some new prototypes he came up with the R&D dept. Looks cool in his view, but then he passes it around and the sales people (and the buyers they show it to) says it a POS. Go back and come up with something better customers will like. But the marketing guy is stubborn and keeps pushing his vision is better.

It’s a great game - less bullshit especially shields on tanks so it’s already winning over OW. Granted the matchmaking is always a mixed bag but climbing doesn’t feel as horrendous. Matchmaking is super quick even at platinum and diamond.
