This doesn't make sense really. Auto stereoscopic 3D doesn't halve your total resolution (only horizontal pixels), and we refer to 3DS as 240p.Well but is it passive 3D on not ?
540p with 3D would be 270 and even 720 would be 360.
Also, this confirms another million (definitely multimillion) seller for the 3DS.
So far, the million sellers have been:
Super Smash Bros. for 3DS
Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Pokemon X/Y
Pokemon OmegaRuby/AlphaSaphire
Mario Kart 7
Super Mario 3D Land
New Super Mario Bros. 2
Yokai Watch
Yokai Watch 2
Yokai Watch 2.5
Dragon Quest VII
Yokai Watch Busters (just a formality at this point)
Games that will almost certainly sell a million:
Dragon Quest XI
Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer
Yokai Watch 3
Maybe:
Dragon Quest VIII (doubt this will because of it also being available on mobile)
Anything else that I missed that has or has the potential to sell that much?
So I was stupid?
Thanks.
I never really doubted it but never said it would be either.
Now Epic will unveil ue4 support for new machines ir not?

MH3G, MH4, MH4G, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, P&D Z and Tomodachi Life have reached a million at least.
They cannot unveil support for a console that is not officially announced.

!It's still dominating!
Nirolak, where are you? We need your long and wide analysis.
Why wouldn't they, they even have a version of UE4 mobile. Sure it'll be less detailed and lower resolution (540p instead of 1080p) but otherwise there wouldn't be a reason a modern handheld couldn't handle it. DQXI PS4 looks nice, but not that nice that it seems impossible to downport. A game like that could've been on Vita if it would've support UE4 (which officially VITA does not). Not sure an open-world UE4 game can be adequately downported to mobile hardware.

Hope the 3DS version comes to the west though, I really like how it looks.
I'm busy at work. Gematsu say DQ11 NX isn't 100%. Can someone verify either way? Thanks!
So, both DQXI games will release at the same time.
That will be a great day for sales-age. Both games look so awesome.
Agree with you.I think they could get more sales with staggered releases though. Kinda like GTAV did in west.
Official PR from SE:
"Additionally, we are also considering launching on Nintendos in development NX platform." (for both DQX and DQXI)
In the conference they said it more straight to the point, if I'm correct.
I think that officially being the console still to be revealed, this is the "best" they can do. being the console still to come, it could also happen to see the NX versions cancelled, of course., but to me the message seem pretty clear
I'm stunned by the NX announcements, honeslty. yes, it could be a "normal" handheld and receive the 3DS enanched version of both DQX and DQXI, but still...it seems a very good way to start your console (especially if handheld, actually) in Japan, isn't it?
I wonder if that Nintendo meeting could deliver some surprise...
Obviously is a good thing. We are talking about huge brands here, that usually skip console launches waiting for massive install bases. Having them on board from the beginning could clearly communicate the message that those brands will not be in the future, but are from the beginning, on that platform.
of course there should be also exclusive contents, but having "ports" doens't preclude to have also brand new contents aside.
If we look back the 3DS launched with a port, but from Street Fighter IV. If DQ substitute SF as "launch port" I'd say that is a good thing for the console itself.
This is what I'm expecting.NX just got a lot more interesting. Can't wait for the reveal.
Hoping for a handheld with PSV++ power that can support modern engines and get PS4 ports.
I'm guessing that the NX version of DQXI is based on the 3DS version and not the PS4 version. Not sure an open-world UE4 game can be adequately downported to mobile hardware.
720p please. None of that wannabe HD/qHD frauding.sörine;173199222 said:Insiders on GAF revealed it's higher than that. Speculation seems to be 540p or 720p.
Well these are three very different interpretations.
Take it as, it sucks that the game might be delayed again and the boom will be over by then lol

Nintendo will surely have some exclusive content lined up for launch too. This is really good news for the NX.
I agree - whilst it still is uncertain - late announced ports usually negatively impact the original platform's sales (Biohazard 4 for GC and PS2). Though of course this all depends on the strength of the original platform, and I guess is a case by case scenario.
I think the NX version of DQXI might be a hybrid of both versions? An 'International Version/Game of the Year' scenario? Who knows, it's all pure speculation at this point, this announcement, non-announcement of NX support, is anybody's guess really.
Apologies for my inconsistent rambling!

I don't know what to thing at all about NX and about DQX and XI for NX.
I'd just say that the NX mention during the SE conf was a pretty solid, consistent and positive fact for NX, even if it's "tentative" up to now.
Now I have to wonder if World of FF isn't also going to be on the NX the moment it comes...

Worlds of Final Fantasy was announced as a "console exclusive" at E3. So PC and maybe mobile ports down the line but NX is probably a no.
With this NX announcement in the wild these sort of "reverse" speculations (we went from "everything is 3ds" to ps4 to nx) will become a thing from now on :]

Wasn't it first on? Or did I misremember?
If that's the case, then you're right and I simply remembered wrong.
It was announced as both. "First on" and "console exclusive". In comparison, FFVII was just announced as "first on" so that could see Xbone/NX ports later on.
