Last Madden I played was 15. I might get 26 this year, 10-11 years is a good gap for sports games that don't change much.I’m in the same boat and completely agree. RTTS is my primary mode and they haven’t done shit for it. I bought the MVP Edition of MLB 22 (mostly for the Steelbook) and played the hell out of it. Sampled MLB 23 and 24 on Game Pass and they were practically identical once you got through the intro (24 added females and the “draft”, which was just the skills showcase they got rid of in past games…).
Looks like another year where I’ll be content to stick with MLB 22. I usually only buy 1-2 annual MLB and NFL games per generation anyway, so waiting is no big deal.
New Madden is much, much worse than 15 and the games in that time period.Last Madden I played was 15. I might get 26 this year, 10-11 years is a good gap for sports games that don't change much.
Well, maybe I'll push it a few more years. Lol What is worse about it though?New Madden is much, much worse than 15 and the games in that time period.
Three man cover…. Guess they are warming it up for next year’s Ohtani, Yamamoto, Sasaki cover.

That's true, but the article is missing one big detail concerning the Circana charts. Both Microsoft and Nintendo didn't report their digital sales for the game in 2023/2024. Microsoft, though, did start to release a list of their Top Sellers in 2024, and MLB The Show 24 is a part of that list. So we can see that it does sell outside of being included on Game Pass. It's actually one of only a few that were included on Game Pass to chart. In 2023, the game had over six times the number of players on Xbox than it did on PlayStation 5

'MLB The Show 25' is skipping Game Pass for the first time since coming to Xbox
After four years of coming to Xbox Game Pass, it seems the deal with MLB and PlayStation has come to an end. Xbox players will now need to pay separately.www.windowscentral.com
One theory is this year will start with high school / college development. But what that would look like is difficult to say. Have they had time to model college parks and get licensing in place or will it just be a few pre-draft mini-games?
Anyway hope for the best, plan for the worst.
Well, IF that ends up being the case and it’s shaken up the formula somewhat, I’ll consider it when it’s on sale around the All Star Break (or later). But it’s gonna have to be more than just a few more menus or cringey “phone calls” with my manager or coach.
Yeah we were discussing this in the Pro thread and they ended up updating the faq just a few days ago. No reason for them not to update. SDS is already getting dragged for not upgrading animations and graphics. This would have been an easy goodwill gesture to show that they're at least trying. They read the comments and they're selling more copies and packs than ever. Even Pro baseball spirits 25 is Pro enhancedI bought the Premium edition on PS5 last night because they advertised it as Pro Enhanced on the store, but it has no Pro Enhancements. That’s false advertising.

Games that actually sell don't have to be released there, specially day one. Like you don't see any 3rd party AAA title released in there day one as well.Interesting guess MLB doesn't like GP killing there sells.
Interested to hear impressions. I’m thinking about grabbing this since the last one I played a ton of was 23’.
Was hoping for more changes. Damn, that a bit disappointing.Same as 23 and 24. Just slight tweaks to the menus and the addition of some College teams in Road to the Show
Were you able to compare base to Pro to see if you noticed a difference?Same as 23 and 24. Just slight tweaks to the menus and the addition of some College teams in Road to the Show

Yes but 24 ran better on the Pro. It can still run better without a Pro patchHaven’t installed it on my base. But there’s no Pro enhancement. Looks like 24 did on the Pro.
