This. Netflix animation in and of itself is not a fucking good thing, as they've proven numerous times with their other lackluster productions. Show me Trigger, don't just hire some other goober studio and give them Cyberpunk, that'll just hurt the legacy of Cyberpunk in the anime space, which is pristine so far.....

I'll be hyped as hell if it is. As someone who never really got into anime, Edgerunners was so good I even ended up checking out Kill La Kill. Slowly been watching more and more anime since.

Hmm. Hiroyuki Imaishi directed Edgerunners, and it looks like he's attached to a different project (New Panty & Stocking) next, so he's probably not directing this. Could still be Studio Trigger though. Not going to hold my breath about hitting Edgerunners levels of excellence either way, but anything's possible.

Doesn't need to be Trigger... give it to Madhouse, they can crank out amazing stuff when they have enough budget and a good schedule. A1 Pictures would be great as well. Team Orange, WIT Studio... there are a couple alternatives, but Trigger seems to be mostly free for 2025. They only have one show announced for 25.

I just hope it won't be an american show.

I don't care as long as it's quality.
Studio Wit has currently an even-better track record than Trigger, for instance.

Mad House, Bones, Ufotable are all capable of great animation when a good budget and enough time is involved, etc.
