We've had threads on this film, but I feel like official details demand a new thread.

Release date: July 02 2025.

Director: Gareth Edwards.

Official plot details:

Five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion (2022), the planet's ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind. Experienced covert operations expert Zora Bennett is contracted to lead a skilled team on a top-secret mission to secure genetic material from the world's three most massive dinosaurs. When Zora's operation intersects with a civilian family whose boating expedition was capsized by marauding aquatic reptiles, they all find themselves stranded on an island where they come face-to-face with a sinister, shocking discovery that's been hidden from the world for decades.

Cast:
Scarlett Johansson as Zora Bennett, a skilled covert operations expert

Mahershala Ali as Duncan Kincaid, Zora’s most trusted team leader

Jonathan Bailey as Dr. Henry Loomis, a paleontologist

Rupert Friend as Martin Krebs, a pharmaceutical representative

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Reuben Delgado, the father of a shipwrecked civilian family

Luna Blaise as Reuben’s eldest daughter
David Iacono as Reuben’s son

Pointless teaser video:

Personally, I can't see this being worse than Dominion. Gareth Edwards is a decent director and at least it'll have amazing effects. I'm also glad to hear the plot seems to be contained on a single island.

Also, Mahershala Ali is in this, which immediately demands my attention.

Any hype from Gaf?

The franchise lost me after I saw The Lost World: Jurassic Park

The whole idea of Dinosaurs becoming passé to humanity and needing hybrids is so dumb. Every second of every day people worldwide are in zoos and safari parks, pandas are sent around the world just to be gawped at. Dinosaurs have existed as bones since 1824 so 200 years and people still love them. The real thing would not be a disappointment to people after 20 years.

Agreed. It was a dumb idea in Jurassic World and Fallen Kingdom.

The rumor for the next film is that the hybrid is more like a failed lab experiment. It's a retarded T-Rex with four arms. Apparently this is a plot leak which I really hope is false.

5 Years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the planets ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Those who wandered away from the equator developed a disease that carries the risk of spreading to humans. The dinosaurs that remain exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the ones they once thrived in.

Zora Bennett and her team is sent out to retrieve genetic samples from the Titanosaurus, Quetzalcoatlus, and Mososaurus in order to create a vaccine. They are after these specific dinosaurs because the bigger ones are more resilient and by targeting land, sea, and air, they can make a more flexible vaccine.

Zora’s operation intersects with a civilian family whose boating expedition (by an illegal island) is capsized by a Spinosaurus. It’s possible that the crew crashed here after their boat was attacked by a Mososaurus (it does get attacked but the leak didn’t mention whether it’s before or after they end up on the island).

The island they end up on is an old Ingen testing ground. It was abandoned due to failed “company ending” mistakes. So they swept it under the rug leaving everything to die. However, this became a dumping ground for misplaced species.

There is some character drama, Duncan has brotherly love for Zora but doesn’t trust Loomis who does fall for Zora. They both think they are in charge of the crew. Martin they don’t trust, and there is a traitor in their crew who wants to give the samples to another company.

The final fight is at night. The crew is trying to escape the island but are being hunted by the mutant D.Rex. At the docks, the Spinosaurus and the D.rex fight it out. Said to be one of the best fights in the franchise

NO PAIN TRANCE CONTINUE
They should make one about the most gruesome Animal insect Hybrids so fucking nasty and the whole cast dies a quick or slow gruesome death. Interspecies hybrid rape scenes and all

Oh no. Looks like that plot rumor I posted above is correct. It sounds like that D-Rex is in the film. From the VF article:

Adding to his Rebirth dinosaur inspiration were a few other favorites: the skeletal Xenomorph from Alien, the dungeon behemoth from Return of the Jedi, and the original Big Bad from Spielberg’s first Jurassic Park movie. Those references turn up all in one particular twisted dinosaur that turns up in the trailer coming Wednesday. “Some Rancor went in there, some H.R. Giger went in there, a little T. rex went in there…” Edwards says.

Right. I don't want to see mutant nonsense. I understand the Dinosaurs in JP are pretty much mutants anyway, but I want to see something that is close to a Dinosaur. Not a Xenomorph T-Rex with a sprinkle of Rancor and a dash of Sloth from the Goonies.

All of these films are picking the stupidest ideas from the original Dinosaur Human Hybrid and expanding it into entire movies.

Scarlett is extremely attractive , a nude scene would be great for this movie
Under the Skin, pre-baby ScarJo.

Didn't move the needle at the BO though. The internet killed nudity in film, these ladies bare it all and it's just shared as a clip instead of asses in seats. Same thing with Jessica Beal and Jennifer Lawrence. I support yah, ladies!
