Ah, okay. My own point still stands tho and if it's that far back, I was probably actually thinking PS5 would've been 12TF too.
Granted I only joined late August, but I don't remember thinking either may've been 9TF or so until that Github leak and that didn't come until...October, right? And even then that was only to PS5.
I'd try searching my posts that far back but I don't have time to search ALL the way that far back with the way the search function works :S

once Navi was unveiled to be a 9'6 tflops 235w 40 cu gpu, people refused to believe that a double digit console was possible.
I should say certain people. The rest was us knew that the console makers usually go wide and slow with more cus and lower clocks and that 7nm+ along with rdna 2.0 efficiency would bring down the tdp.
I remember someone on the other site claiming Brad Sams said lockheart is actually a mobile like device and not a console.

And don't get me wrong, Sony knows the TF number of the Series X too. Note how they officially announced that they were waiting to know the price of the Series X, not the specs. If the PS5 was more powerful, we would already know it by now. A wired article would have popped out of nowhere just to tell us the number of TFs, now that the Series X has announced theirs. It's what will most likely happen with the price.

It was only recently that Sony pulled out of PAX East and GDC, which corroborates DeepEnigma's claim that most people had no idea that COVID-19 would be this bad. You would have a point if Sony pulled out at the beginning of February or last month.

The GitHub leaks are real, just accept that already. we know the chip in this leak is real and we know it was made specifically for Sony. what possible use could they have for a chip with that kind of performance other than the PS5?
and we also know that the chip is not old and thrown out since it got new revisions.
just, come on... I still don't know how this data could be swept under the rug by anyone who takes a critical look at the whole situation at the moment. There is still no logical explanation that explains this chip away... an RDNA chip that has modes that exactly match PS4 and PS4pro.

If Series X is 599 then 90%+ will probably buy Lockhart (if it exists) and the whole power narrative will be meaningless for everyone except a small group who own next gen Xbox. All the while 90% of PS5 owners will play superior versions to 90% of Xbox gamers. Sad but true. But hey, at least Dealer and co will be happy.

I'm just happy X is in the lead now! I mean. We were all told at E3 2019 that PS5 was ahead. That was all the talk. And now here we are. The hope that PS5 is more powerful. Although, when Xbox is more powerful, it's all about the games.

They could, considering all they have to do is basically fart out a gas cloud in the shape of a 5 to go massively trending on social media...we saw that with just the logo.
I'm not saying they are feeling the pressure(outside of Covid, which everyone is right now), but I think they'll fire something off this week.
Pastebin is what it is, but the timing of Microsoft's article and that reveal date Pastebin vanishing has me wondering even so.

Will PS5 and XsX will have some sort of built in hardware upscaling and clean up of previous gen games? If PS1, PS2, PS3 games are backwards compatible with PS5, will it look similar to bleemcast upscaling?
According to HipHopGamer, yeah PS1-4 BC is going to look amazing on the PS5. That's just a 'leak' to be taken with a grain of salt. However he seems like a genuinely nice guy, I can't help but like his enthusiasm.
