Not necessarily, he may have received the images from a source and took it in good faith. Sony have been trolling everyone even insiders of late, it was only a couple of weeks ago HeisenbergFX4 source within SIE "confirmed" 9.2 TFs. Sony could be fake leaking tidbits right now for all we know.

Ultimately, without any extra images, only time will tell on this one.

Here are the options I think we have here:

1. Tommy trolled us all.
2. Tommy was told it was the DS5 by someone he trusts and it isn't.
3. It's an earlier edition to test haptics/adaptive triggers or another feature.
4. It's a later revision and they've managed to fit it all in a less bulky package.

3 & 4 are unlikely due to the face buttons on the right, so I hope it's option 2.

That would mean its GPU is running at 2GHz, which I doubt it will be. So it would be lower than 9TF.

Then how does any of this make him an insider? I mean he was asked to provide proof and this is what he provided. If you are actually an insider, why would you be the recipient of this type of image. If you have the access he claims to have, wouldn't you be able to take it yourself?

If this is your proof, then how can anything you say be taken seriously?

I mean, I could right now just create an account and make up stuff and then post this image. Would I automatically be given the benefit of the doubt?

It's a DS4 controller. On the DS5 patent and real DS5, the share and options buttons are further apart from the D-pad and face buttons. And there are 2 identical new inputs under the DS5 not on the DS4.
