I didn’t let people do anything, they did this to themselves. I’ve made more than a handful of posts saying that he wasn’t vetted and people requoted my posts countless times saying he wasn’t vetted.

Not going to ban someone because they have delusions of grandeur about them. I’m not people’s daddy.

Does everyone get that same treatment? GAF was never like that.

Just months before PS4's release, Guerilla showed a slide showing only 4GB Vram for PS4. So I think people are unrealistic if they expect insiders to get everything right, I think ballpark figures is more or less what we can use to judge said insiders in the end, if someone is dead on the money on reveal, even greater...…If PS5 info releases and it's not 9.2TF and rather 12-13, then those who were spreading 9.2TF would need to be mocked or even questioned, yet their info would hurt their credibility, everyone will remember, but to have them banned and all the calls for bans is really much..

Don't put pressure on insiders, Real PS5 info is only going to be concrete when Cerny hits that stage.....What's crazy is that I've seen people believe insiders over Cerny when he has confirmed something in this very thread.....So lots of the games being played here, those pretending they're "longing for PS5 info" , "those who are adamant on the lowest PS5 spec as fact and shoots down anything 12 and above for PS5", Which brings Tommy into the picture "He said PS5 was over XBOX" and so that view/info carries automatic persecution from some.....

I agree on the Cerny hitting the stage scenario. We'll know everything when Sony reveals the Hardware. I think what doesn't gel with people is other people stating what appears to be 'factual' information when it's false. It's probably much better to say 'I think' rather than saying things that appear to look and read like actual, real information.

Maybe not the best analogies here but, I'd go and tell you Final Fantasy 7 Remake is all under one game release. And then you go to buy it only to find out its only a fraction of the whole story/game. I don't know, some would feel jaded by it for being given wrong information. Or another example could be going to the Doctor's office and the Doctor is giving you information that appears to be correct. Then later you get a second and third opinion telling you what the first Doctor said was wrong.

So yeah, Tommy wasn't vetted, but it sounded like he had sufficient information early on that was on the brink of being vetted. Which thus kept him being able to comment in this thread without issue. Always take that stuff with salt...and with fucking pepper too because you never know what you're given. And I think People need to restructure their comments in here to make them appear more speculation based, rather them appearing to look factual.

I mean FFS, these websites are scanning these threads and glorifying these people as Insiders. They're adding the BS across the spread too to other people. Causes a whirlwind of problems thereafter.

I'm glad everything worked out like it did today, and that we don't have too strict of rules or moderation in place. Last week's Pastebin "be there at 10am PST" announcement(something you'd read on the wall in a gas station bathroom) , and now today's Kojima-calendar and GB stutter "secrets of the illuminati revealed" were hilarious.

I speak from my own experience, that once I took a break, stopped taking everything so serious, and just started enjoying the community here I've had some of the best times. The Tommy Fisher stuff was totally unpredictable and the mania that ensued was deeply gratifying. It's why I keep coming back to GAF. It's great here and I love it.

You’re right, GAF lacked a lot of self responsibility from 2012 to 2016 and they would just rely on pile-ons to get people banned through hurt feelings, even when they had nobody to blame but themselves.

I’m not a damned babysitter. If people want to ignore the countless post that mods have made about him not being vetted that’s entirely on them.

I always seen his posts speaking as an insider followed by pages of people asking him questions like he was Phil Spencer or something. That shit was never acceptable on GAF until recently. If everyone posted like him this place would be a joke. It’s obviously made some posters act a lot more like insiders as of late. It seems like everyone has a source now. It’s getting ridiculous IMO.

That’s because you had a certain ideology running around that felt like they needed to babysit, cultivate, and shape people.

We are not in the cultivation or mind shaping business. Think for yourselves, the information was and is out there and was always readily made available, yet some people chose to ignore it.

Perception can be hell of a slap to the face sometimes.

Also, this thread is not running around like everybody has secret sauce. The only ones that are actually speaking from that place, are ones that have been vetted. Everyone else is just speculating and using predictions, or banking on GitHub.

I've mentioned this a few times, but the first leak of 12TF Custom Navi, Zen 2, and DXR RT, was NovaMonbasa on January 15, 2019. He also leaked 4TF "Lockhart". Apisak leaked Gonzalo(1GHz) days after. Benji-Sales said "nearly 13TF PS5 dev kit" in April 2019. Apisak gave the Gonzalo 1.8GHz Fire Strike score in July 2019. Komachi leaked 2GHz Oberon in August 2019.
