its funny how all the insiders kept saying that Sony and MS wont be touting tflops this gen and yet thats all MS has been doing.
My final prediction is 9.2 but Sony’s “we are not ready yet” messaging was to be able to make some sort of response to MS. So im guessing they bit the bullet and upped ram to makeup for the tflop disadvantage
9.2 with 2ghz clocks
3.4 ghz cpu clocks max
faster ssd compared to MS and more ram

You know what the funny thing is? The funny thing is, that sony seems to have waited for Microsoft to put their spec cards on the tables(Unveil their specs), before they even responded with anything. They must be having certain tricks up their sleeve which they've been waiting for a long time to show. Whatever the case may be, i can't wait to see what Sony has in store for us tomorrow!!!

yeah, early this gen I played the most on the freaking Wii U lol... and I still don't really like either the Xbox One or the PS4 tbh. This has been my least favorite console gen yet.

With the Coronavirus I am skeptical about what they will say tomorrow (is tomorrow already today? Or tomorrow istomorrow?). Maybe they say a lot or maybe they just say what they had planned to say at the GDC (architecture and development). We'll see what happens. I hope they give all the information possible. I go to bed, sorry.

I'm expecting at least a deeper look into the SSD, and a demo to show off RT capabilities. If their specs are otherwise about in line with XSX's then they'll just make casual mentions of them while emphasizing other things. If they're weaker then they won't talk anything about TFs or RAM. If they're better, well, it's Mark Cerny. He'll just probably open with some of them but he's not a boisterous kind of guy imo.
Anyway we should just be thankful they finally decided to do something of a full reveal, and this soon at that.

There are multiple ways to look at it though. Since Sony was already planning on doing this presentation at GDC, you could also say that Microsoft released the info since both systems are so close so there is nothing really new. Or Microsoft knows they have the better system so they release it so that everyone will be disappointed after Sony's presentation. Or like you said Sony was waiting on them to show they are better, or... We'll just have to wait and even then we won't know both players' strategy. Although personally I think they will be very close which is why Microsoft kept dripping new information.

Don’t know tech specs but I’m going PS5 weaker than XSX at least in TF #.
I will be a little salty if DS5 has a built in mic and does voice commands and all the stuff OG XBone did. MS was way ahead of the time on that one and people are all about their Alexa’s and Google assistants now, just don’t get it smh

Matching final dev kit, but i think they will settle nearer 13 than 14 for retail, improving yield rates, as supply is going to be limited as is.

It will be the first gen where hardware won't be a factor is which console you will get .
A 0.2 or 0.3 difference don't mean anything .
I'm thinking what if they do a deep dive on hardware, shows tech demos, loading, quick resume, backwards compatibility improvements etc similar to Microsoft but in the end the following happens.
"We have shown you the next generation tech, but you need games that are designed around the hardware, games designed around the fast SSD, powerful GPU and CPU", we are proud to announce we are making games only available for PS5 which takes full advantage of the system, here is a glimpse of one of these games"
Shows Horizon 2, Alloy rides a super fast robo raptor like a car with rocket boost through the detailed open world with Ray Tracing lighting and detailed textures showing the use of SSD allowing fast travel in such a detailed open world with Ray Tracing lighting.
Why I think this is possible, this would be a one up on Microsoft who said they are making games for Xbox One still their biggest game Halo Infinite is also on Xbox One. They also releasing Horizon in PC so this would get buzz on people buying PC port and PC players maybe tempted to check it out.
