The IGN article uses all its sources from Bloomberg article - has no new information.
And the only Microsoft production rumour I have heard is where Official Xbox France Staff said production is underway. That was in May iirc.

Because I made reference to that info and not the one I'm talking about, obviously. Honestly, do tell me, why him being right on something makes him right on everything else? I'm always fascinated by that kind of logic. And it's fairly easy to see why production-wise specific timelines he was talking about cannot be met. Or maybe that Covid stuff didn't happen either.

Thing is, I don't care about people taking the word of whomever they see fit, it's about what I think. And, since you're referring to it, same as I didn't reply badly (you can check on that if you want) when he talked about the possibility of the delay, because, well, it made perfect sense and he could very well be right, as he was, now, given, again, the circumstances and the timelines he was talking about, I think he's not right on this, and he's pretty much basing it on nothing, hearsay. So, I don't have an issue with him being right, same as I'm gonna call him or whomever out when I think he's dead wrong. And if time proves he's right, I'll have absolutely no issue in admitting it. And just a little heads up, I'm gonna buy both consoles day one, so whatever you think I want or don't want to hear, is probably wrong. I only care about one of each consoles having my name on them on a pre-order, not how many millions of consoles they expect to make or sale.

With the info I have read and the rumors I heard. I proposed and speculated. I Gave them the numbers I heard and Numbers that made sense. I stated that in the original post that some of it was hear say and rumor.
They only Factual info I have on the Xbox Series X is what Phil said on a podcast. When he said they was running full production. The Xbox number came from a rumor of a memo stating Xbox wanted 10-15 million Series X produced in the first 6 months. I have tried to find the Xbox Series X rumor and the Picture of the Memo. I haven’t been able to find it again.
I will try to search again after my pedicure appointment and after I go out to get something to eat.

Cerny has merged PS4 and PS3. The good thing about both. Not the bad.
PS5 is "friendly". More than PS4. All this "new" technology works automatically without your realizing it. The tools already take care of it. You do not have to worry about how to manage the data. It is done "only".
The only thing that changes in the face of the developer is the way of working some aspects in content generation, and it changes for the better, not for the worse. So it is not bad either.
That is why Epic said that it was necessary for PC to adopt this new architecture for the future, one way or another it is necessary.

If you could make "fake" 4K look the same as native 4K, why would you have to waste power and energy using native 4K? The only logical answer you could give is "because I have paid for a 4K TV and I want my investment to be used."
To which I would ask you another question.
If technology allowed you not to be able to distinguish between 4K and "fake" 4K, would you prefer native 4K with less detail and fewer frames per second? Or would you prefer "fake" 4K with more detail and more frames per second?
These are questions that perhaps a user does not stop to think (perhaps), but that a developer must ask himself many times.
Also don't worry, PS5 might be more expensive, it's just my opinion. It is not a confirmation (I think I said it before). And that price difference does not have to be substantial compared to the competition. It could be just as costly as it is cheaper. I'm also not an expert in putting a price on things. Because also one thing is the cost to the user and another is the cost to the manufacturer that has been agreed, and if you agree with the manufacturer a number of units you can get cheaper prices (I think I understand, I can be wrong), especially if you have participated actively in creating that hardware for which a second company will benefit in the future (AMD). Therefore, the price is an absolute unknown. I think it could be the more expensive of the two, but it is just that, a belief. And just because PS5 can be more expensive doesn't mean XSX is cheap. One may be 599 and the other 549. But we return to the same, personal speculation.

15 million that is not a realistic number for 6 months .... man you principal competitor sells is selling 3 times more right now and even the switch sells almost 5 times more.
Even if the you sell more than Sony that doesn't mean you can reach those number because you also are against Nintendo Switch in holydays. I can understand Microsoft
is optimitcs but one thing is that and other believe you will overpass Sony 2:1 while the world forgets Nintendo so you will able to sell all your production.
Actually produce a lot more is because you think you will sell a lot more, each XSX in the warehouse cost money. I could believe 10 millions as a limit for be realistic
specially when you in front two brands a lot more stronger than you in that market and many countries will have recesion for Covid+Petroleum situation.

That doesn't seem realistic to me especially after seeing how the X1 is selling. While I do believe they can improve their numbers it won't be by that much.

The company has told assembly partners it would make 5 to 6 million units of the PS5 in the fiscal year ending March 2021, according to other people involved in the machine’s supply chain. When Sony released the PlayStation 4 in November 2013, it sold 7.5 million units in its first two quarters.

Tim Sweeney generally responds to questions like this but I’m not surprised he shut Linus down. He must’ve seen the video where straight up the guy said Tim should stop ‘trying so hard’ to sell soap for Sony as there are already existing SSDs in PC space which are faster than SSD in the PS5. He then left the room to fetch the said SSD and proceeded to gloat about proving them wrong.
