Directly at Timdog, with your sources high up in MS you should have known that several people had the box in their homes and it was completed correct? Yes, we know that tribalist console warrior posts and FUD do have their part in business... and? It does not make the “leaks” accurate just because people jump on them not it is damaging enough to change a company strategy.

Since well before the PS4 launch articles about PS4 being Sony’s last console, PS4 being unbalanced, PS4 being underpowered, SonyToo whenever people talked about MS DRM, “do not look too much into the console sales now” when PS4 sales data started pouring in, etc... then see sales data and MAU’s now ;).

Ps5 will be 13.5tf and launch at £449.99 with a 1tb ssd.

I don’t see the point in releasing a poorer version at £350 as we have the ps4 pro.

Full bc day one means it wins the war before its even started. Will be the last gen with an xbox competing imo.

It will be very powerful. All smoke and mirrors like last time, let ms spill the beans....their strategy of 2 consoles at launch is going to leave them last and probably end the xbox for good by late 2021 imo.

I would not be surprised if sony were targeting a lower spec ps5 to have a lower entry price as Nintendo have pretty much been leading the way in showing you don't need an expensive showcase machine to wipe the floor with the competition

I won’t go into technical mumbo jumbo or the various bs specs that the fake insiders have been spewing but I will just say one thing.....everything MS has showed screams about an ultra powerful console, from the console form to the APU size. They can really go crazy with the clock speeds in that chip , like they did with Scorpio, and unveil some unbelievable specs. As for Sony we will see.

Both companies are playing poker right now. MS tried to bluff Sony to show their hands at the TGA but Sony is staying cool and calm. Sony has a gameplan, they’re not revealing too much until their event in February like before. They’re not allowing MS time to react after their reveal. It worked last time.

If MS is so confident that they have the power edge, you would be hearing it from the 3 stooges already.

By releasing the console with the highest rated game of the generation like BOTW for Switch and TP for Wii.

BOTW is still at the original $60 MSRP after nearly 3 years on the market while most XB and PS exclusive are getting bundled with the console and getting price cut not even a year on the market.

Specs is really matter to Sony and Microsoft because third party games are the main selling point.

Honestly if Sony responded to MS right away about tflops or their own console specs then i'd be worried because i'd feel they'd have something to prove and quick. The fact they didnt makes me feel they are confident with what they have. In the words of Flyod Mayweather Sony is team A, MS is the B team.

exactly i completely agree, also xbox has a reason to want to build more hype for next gen as they didn’t do well in this one. playstation can just keep doing what they do and push ps4 until the feb event. lots of people mentioning power and features but at the end of the day it’s for playing games and that’s something playstation has excelled at.

It's almost like people think these corporations with powerful brand identity and very intelligent corporate strategists make decisions based on the whims and wishes of a small number of angry fuckwits on an internet forum.

"Oh no, Neogaf is annoyed that we didn't tell them the floating point compute performance of our new box. This is the end of our console business"

They don't give a single shit about what any of us think about their reveal strategy. The thirst and desperation for more, is in fact evidence to suggest that their hype building strategy is pretty fucking effective.
