You are right in that I said "Texture streaming pool" and should have said "nanite streaming pool" which isn't for textures.
It's one part of the memory usage was my point though not the entirety of the RAM usage.

World War Z is pretty good at scratching that L4D itch, but it's no substitute for an actual L4D sequel sadly. Valve needs to start producing shit with the number 3 in the title.Man....will there ever be another Left 4 Dead? Imagine if a 3rd game was shown on the Series X today. One of the best MP zombie games ever developed. Not expecting this but some friends and I were reminiscing about when we used to play it crazy.

It's of course harder to generate hype when you don't have the added benefit of holding an event inside a larger event where you put your product in the same stage as other very hyped products. On the upside, when the stage is all yours, the stage is all yours.

I get the sense a wave of disappointment and disillusion is about to hit the entire nextgen console space if this MS show fails to have a good nextgen showcase.
Sony's show was underwelming, this one also missing the mark is going to be the last straw for many I think.

Well, I think Sony's show was underwhelming only for people who had truly sky high expectations. It was solid games for over an hour. I expect the same from MS here and we will get to see Halo, other things expected and a few surprises. We're not likely to see something industry changing....developers are going with formulas that WORK, especially early into a new generation. But we will see some great stuff, just like we saw in Sony's show, IMHO. Xbox fans will be very happy, I think.

For you, Sony's show according to consensus was a solid 8.5-9 and usually their shows are good. With Xbox thy haven't had a good show in an eternity and even when thy do its shit shown on PC since thyve blurred tht pc/Xbox line. Sony has too many hitters and had a little bit of everything except fps games but tht gameplay of horizon, demon souls, etc was
One person a village doesn't make and the village, kingdom, professionals all gave Sony presentation high scores
Alot of this shit is the damage control before the disappointment. Don't worry some ppl will see Halo and lose their shit, I'll see Halo and go meh. Fable will work for me though.

It's ok to have high expectations. We are getting an 8x GPU jump (almost 10x if you count the 1.3x tflops x1), 4x CPU bump and 40x SSD jump. and this is before IPC gains. We should be expecting more from devs.
I was looking at the ratchet demo and they have a lot of cool things. Lots of destruction, lots of particle effects, lots of NPC A.I, and ray tracing but it did nothing for me because it felt so formulaic. bigger and better simply isnt good enough. they need to do more.

MS have 14 studios and haven’t released a AAA game for ....? Well Gears of War 5 - is that the last major thing they did? Before that there was...? I really can’t remember.
They should fill up 3 hours with megatons from the resources they have and how long it’s been.
OK they’re only doing an hour but assuming they stick with what they said - first party - then they should be able to show 14 games releasing between now and 2022.
It really should be the best set of reveals ever.
Yes I’m fully expecting to be disappointed but let’s see - there’s no excuse if they don’t produce something jaw dropping now.
