I was in a car wreck on Saturday morning. I was going East, and the other person in a truck pulled out in front of me to go West, which resulted in me T-boning them. E.R. confirmed no broken bones or internal bleeding. Their insurance officially accepted liability this morning.

I am going to be fine, but my car is totaled, and I am in a good deal of pain probably for the next few days. I now get to spend my time arguing negotiating with insurance over what recompense is acceptable.

EDIT: Police report showing their diagram:

Car versus truck really isn't a battle. I also feel bad for the other driver (even though they were at fault). They did not have GAP insurance, and still owed around $30,000 on their truck. Apparently I hit them hard enough it bent their frame, and that is considered totaled 99% of the time. Meaning the lady in the truck is going to get less money than what she still owes on the vehicle, and will still need to make payments on a vehicle she no longer has. :(

That's bloody lucky, I'm glad you're relievely okay.

Fuck, glad you weren't badly hurt. Sorry about your car. At least their insurance is accepting liability so not having to prove that makes it less of a headache.

That sucks but at least you should get sorted out with the car and you're not too badly injured.

My friend was involved in a car accident a couple of months ago, well I say involved, he was parked in a car park and someone drove into him. They left him a note which was nice so they accepted the blame and their insurance paid out. However in the UK, by law you should tell your own insurance of any incidents, whether you're at fault or not. So he did this. He's now been told his insurance may go up at renewal even though he wasn't at fault. How is this even remotely fair?
Someone drove into him when he wasn't even in the car and yet he will now potentially (Though I assume he'll move provider) see an increased cost to his insurance.

Hopefully it's different where you are and you don't see any increased costs.

That sucks about your car IFireflyl IFireflyl . You’re lucky to be alive. I’m glad you’re safe. I’ve been at the ICU with my son. He had a terrible reaction to one of his medications and he’s been sedated for almost a week. They aren’t sure when he’s coming home. I’ve been sitting next to him playing Balatro on my phone. They’ve got a hotel like setup for parents whose children are in ICU, but it’s incredibly difficult to stay relaxed.

Oh, man. I am so sorry. Your kid being in the hospital is a whole other level of suck. Praying for a full recovery for him. No parent wants to experience that.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Don't know where to post this or if this is the right venue.

I have been trying to login to GAF on a new device and stuck on the two factor, I am not getting the two factor emails to my designated email address. Currently posting this from the phone.

Is there an issue going on with it?
