That sucks, hope you'll get it fixed. Anyway, for what it's worth (not much); I'm on the latest drivers and 24H2, and currently experiencing no issues whatsoever.

If you're experienced, check Windows error logs in Event Viewer and see if you can find what's triggering the issue. Often, it's actually logged somewhere in there.

Did you change any stuff in Nvidia Inspector? I changed some dlss4 related stuff and was getting a lot of crashes. Uninstalled with ddu, rolled back, and later tried again and this time it seems to be fine, no crashes so far.

Updated to latest NVIDIA driver & Windows version & if anything I've noticed a performance improvement in Cyberpunk lol, little more stable.

if the system freezes do you get a BSOD, or does it at least reboot?
if so, there might be a minidump file that you can view with windbg or bluescreenview and it might tell you the exact cause of the error.

Windows just sucks ass.

I was playing Jedi Fallen Order on my 9800X3D/4090 system. Non-stop and annoying stutters. FPS locked to 144.

Played the same game on my bazzite/SteamOS PC with setting turned down to high with a 7800X3D paired with a Radeon 7800XT. I get very few stutters and its absolutely great and I couldn't be more pleased.

Conclusion: Windows 11 now just sucks ass.

I did install a mod that injects vulkan instead of DX11 into my Windows 11 JFO and that has made the game far more consistent and playable.

OverHeat OverHeat I was having similar issues though probably not as often as you. Here's what I did

Run DISM by pulling up Command Prompt as an administrator. Type in "DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth". This is going to provide you the tools needed to repair corrupted files.

Next, type "sfc /scannow". This will run your system file checker to see if you have corrupted files and will attempt to fix them. If the checker finds anything too egregious and cannot repair them...it might be time to reinstall windows.

When I did it....I did a full wipe on the SSD that houses my operating system. I have 2 other SSDs which I did not touch. Haven't had any problems since.

Game crashes, system freezing when gaming…all happening since the last 2 drivers update…PC gaming can sucks sometimes
Yep, I've had a ton of game-related crashes since the latest update. I hadn't heard anyone else mentioning it, so I was looking at other possible issues. If this is a widespread issue, I might roll it back until they get it under control.

I notice it seems to be related to games that support HDR mostly.

Have you tried disabling GPU power monitoring in MSI Afterburner, Nvidia Overlay, etc? I was having bad micro stuttering with my 9800x3D and 4070 Super before disabling the Nvidia App Overlay and turning off any GPU power monitoring-related setting. I think it's something to do with the 9800x3D and certain Windows versions.

YES!

Happened when they switched to the nvidia app.. around then I boot up and I'm in 800x600 WTF - check and all nvidia drivers have magically vanished. So installed the latest version (which now has nvidia app).

I keep randomly getting black screened while watching youtube or launching a game. So glad you guys have mentioned it, I was about to return my GPU! After dicking around for ages I disabled some PCIE power saving setting in my BIOS which has resolved it for the time being.

Make sure your PC has all its Windows Updates, GPU has the latest driver (Clean Installation), and that your Motherboard has all it's firmware updates. I had to do this recently for my 3070 as I was getting 10-24fps in Helldivers 2. After, I was getting a solid 60fps @ 1440p.

My son literally just bought a new gaming comp and the Nvidia driver he downloaded bricked the entire system. Luckily the system restore/reset solved the issue.

Told him when it comes to drivers, gotta wait a bit until feedback is ok.

I haven't updated the driver on my 1060 since like 2 years now, lol.

Yeah have been a lot worse than what they used to be. I rarely every update my driver and a mate of mine still has problem with Path of Exile 2.
Lots of other issues you hear about the drivers and behavior with OS interaction.

They need to step up their game on the foundations again. You can invest into AI and frame generation and things like that sure, but don't forget stable drivers and raw rasterization performance.

Nah, no issues here, check your RAM health. And if cables are properly seated in PSU, sounds stupid but its not my first rodeo
