The war wouldn't be that hard to win without rewarding Russia.

1) Send enough resources to form an iron clad defensive wall in Ukraine that annihilates anything that crosses it.

2) Insist that EU partners contribute a proportional degree of resources to make it "even". Negotiate that we won't commit until they step up.

3) Give Russia a timeline to get out of their captured areas of Ukraine with the condition that if they don't, they will be annihilated and sent the bill for any collateral damage on Ukrainian land.

4) Don't be bluffing, but neither step over into Russian territory either as that would spark an existential desperate response that could include nukes.

Russia would become a docile lap puppy in no time.

Who is buying Russian energy?

would "better than nothing" be your stance here?
Something is always better than nothing.

My stance is, they may not like it, but it's better than your country being destroyed by a war you can't win.

Maybe you should have planned for the future differently, like the US did.

And do you think is it worth it to have a totalitarian oligarchy regime? ( yes, that's exactly what you have).
Immigration and DEI shit was just the propaganda your new masters used to get to power and it worked like a charm.
America is the new evil country. You can join the Ruzzia and North Korea club.

Ok.
You can sigh all you want and you dont have to like it.

Planning has benefits and consequences, if people wanted to think everything in the world was a big Kumbaya party that's on you.

Again, the 2nd amendment is God tier and is why no one will ever take land from the US.

The people in some places wanted the governments to disarm them with a "trust me bro" and people wanted free health care instead of beefing up militarization.

That's all fine, but it has serious repercussions.

Winter is not going to wait for capitulation. It's completely feasible to continue heating homes with sanctioned barrels while moving in a new energy direction and spanking Russia out of the place at the same time.
3 winters late. Apparently it's fine for EU to do business with Putin but when the US says "end the war" it isn't ok.

You can't have both. Either Putin is unfit to do business with or you have a double standard.

Debate if he actually said it or not but to quote Yamamoto

Saw something awhile back as well that there are enough firearms in just the State of Kentucky it would be something crazy like the 3rd largest army in the World, one State

You think I like idiocy that led to massive immigration and many countries being dependent on Russian resources for years? No.

But Russian threat is far more important RIGHT NOW than few millions Muslims living in Europe.

Is it, though?

When's the last time the Russian state was responsible for a bombing in Sweden? When did Russia last encourage someone to drive through a market plaza in Germany with the aim of maiming as many pedestrians as possible? When did Russia ever sponsor somebody to stab a bunch of young schoolgirls to death in England?

I'm not sure which country you're from, and I acknowledge some governments like Denmark's have much more sensible policies than others. But regardless, the truth across the continent is the same: the people of Europe are suffering every single day because their leaders have betrayed them. Time and time again, we've seen how citizens who protest this madness are fined or jailed or thrown out of the democratic process. And on the international level, that witch von der Leyen and all her cronies at every level of the EU make a point of handing out punishments whenever heads of state try to exercise the least bit of sovereignty in their nation's interests. It's sick.

How does this not chill you to the core, more so than the specter of Russia's paper tiger military getting slowly ground to dust a thousand miles away in Ukraine?

I'm against illegal immigration and what is happening in western Europe is sickening, in Poland we don't have this bullshit.

But numbers of people suffering from illegal immigration will be minimal compared to Russian attack that WILL happen at some point once they take over Ukraine.

It is like multiple Afghanistan's. and even the US couldn't do much there. There are 2 major mountain ranges. Huge swaths of open range. Probably 1000s of people that can shoot over a mile. It is something most people can't even fathom. The only reason the US has exported its military all over the world is the mainland is so safe.

So much so that people are complacent and threats to security or infrastructure are wildly over looked. Our military bases are highly susceptible attack. which is insane.

which is true.

Russia will take over Europe.

Or

Ukraine is winning.

Living in the bubble is good? North Koreans think their country is the best...
Americans criticize their own shit enough as it is. And like I said earlier in this thread, Europe needs to market itself to American citizens, because right now they have no allies in the US population. The right wing hates them due to inserting themselves in our politics, and the left wing (consisting of a coalition of non-European immigrants) will not fight for them and will at most send some money.

Russia won't take Europe but it will want to take parts of it.

Ukraine is not winning, that's for sure. But Russia is not winning as well (at the moment), they will win this conflict with time. Ukraine don't have manpower and resources for a long ass war and Russia have money for at least 2 more years of war. They also have shit ton of people as well (even from Noth Korea).

That's why it's very unlikely that they will want any peace, unless Trump gives them everything they want.

USA can't stop this war. What if Ukraine took the deal? Russians would stop war? Why? They have no reason to, USA didn't demand anything from Kremlin, Ukraine got NO security guarantees from Trump.
Genuine question here: What would the US reasonably demand from the Kremlin? And why didn't the European and (supposedly) 100% Pro-Ukrainian administration before this January make those demands?

Vast majority of Europeans don't give a shit about America. Just like vast majority of Americans don't give a shit about Europe. Folks just live their lives.

"Online people" are very into this stuff and we are part of this, hahaha.

Realistically you can't really talk with Russia, that's why it wasn't done before. I personally have no good solution for this war but for sure, what Trump proposed in Friday was a shitty deal for Ukraine.

Some of the land they've sized during this war, at least.

They might have talked with them about it. If they did they'll have been ignored, because everyone knows, including the kremlin, that neither the EU, nor the previous administration is willing to go to war over Ukraine.

So taking a step back and looking at this metals deal. Wouldn't that mean the US has a vested interest in seeing success. In order to have success, the us would need to protect their investment right? So if US assets were to be targeted my Russia, this would be an act of war meaning Russia would need to back off. Am I missing something?

In this case, US gets metals
Ukraine get protected
Russia gets screwed.

Exactly.

They don't have to like it, but people need to not be so fucking delusional about what the state of America literally is.

It's literally an army.

In and outside of Government operations.

I mentioned it before, but when it comes to Militarized aircraft America has 15K of them, the next closes country is Russia with under 5K.

America is armed to the teeth across the entire fucking country.

Even the poorest neighborhoods are strapped the fuck up with AKs and shit.

Good luck invading the US.

Classy guy that trump. Didn't he say last week he wanted rich Russians to come to the USA if they pay 5 million?
Exactly what he said, only rich Russians that pay 5 million because there is no other way wealthy people can come to America and live

You know the program that has been around since the early 1990s which the Biden Administration renewed and raised its initial investment

Very original and intelligent post. Just dismiss everything that doesn't adhere to one's tiny warped sense of reality. No wonder we're in this mess with so many athletic-level reality deniers abound.
Because I don't believe everything I am fed by news networks?

I tend to look at many viewpoints and take everything with a grain of salt

If that makes me an "athletic-level reality denier" in your eyes I am ok with that

They should take the deal.

You want Russia to stop trying to invade Ukraine? Make it an interest to the US.

This is (by far) the easiest solution.

There's a difference between not believing everything and believing nothing. You claimed the latter in the post I replied. As such you came off as one of those ignorant types that dismiss everything opposing of one's views as "news". It's a common phenomenon. Especially in the crowd that put that orange monkey in power.

Our choices were bad but something had to change, our Country had never been more divided and we could not continue down the path we were heading

Not to mention how people were streaming into our country illegally

I have a family member from Southern Indiana who is a field agent for the FBI and she has said even in Southern Indiana the amount of cartel crime is sky rocketing the last couple of years, IN SOUTHERN INDIANA
My wife and I joke about this all the time. I love in a rural area. In our town we have like 15 or 16 nail salons almost on top of each other, 9 or 10 massage parlors, just as many teriyaki places, we have 2 maybe 3 bars. If I were to count stop lights lol we have maybe 10 TOTAL.

I tell my wife it's like we live in Ozark.
