new gameplay
Man, this looks so.fucking.good - from the art direction, to animations, graphics, sound production AND gameplay...
This is another Stellar blade/Wukong case - everyone thought that they were vaporware/"fake" and yet, look at how good they turned out to be.
Can't wait !

Did they said that extreme mode is locked for the first run?Very promising combat, but when are Devs going to give us all difficulty modes from the start - extreme seems way more fun to me.
It's fine to make things accessible for a wider audience but what about players who love the genre and like a challenge.

I hate this shit.
It is definitely a problem, a big problem is you are like me that correlate the pleasure of exploration\finding stuff and sense of progression to how hard a game is (if a game is easy i'm not gonna be as excited to find a new cool weapon or unlock a new skill or just getting better because i was just smashing the game even before that), so you are not just taking away challenge from me, you are also weakening 2 fundamentals aspects of videogames.C'mon guys, this ain't a problem, in fact, I'd argue that that it adds to the replay value.
I always play my games on hard and IF the game is replayable, I fire up the next difficulty mode for a new run.
Out of all the problems this game could have, difficulty isn't one of them IMO, specifically, I really hope that the combat feels as good as it looks in the videos (i.e, proper hit stun, good joy pad vibration for each hit etc etc).
I have the feeling that the game will be a banger
Cheers
Looks excellent
Chinese games growing just as western gaming is going down the toilet.
If a Western game released with the technical issues that Wukong did, it probably wouldn't get a pass.

I got the plat trophy back when this had the *worst* performance I've seen in years (PS5). Frame drops, frame pacing, stuttering, texture pop-in, hard crashes, you name it. Yet I played it long and thoroughly enough to get the plat trophy because the game is *fantastic*. If the issues have truly been fixed then I'd say it's a must-buy![]()
Some Jedi Survivor PS5 scores at launch:
VGC: 100
CGM: 100
Game Informer: 93
Destructoid: 90
God Is A Geek: 90
IGN: 90
Push square: 90
I wrote this about Jedi Survivor after getting the plat trophy which was *2 months* after release, couple of patches later:
Wukong didn't have a *fraction* of the technical issues and that's AT LAUNCH, I got the plat trophies for both games and can speak on it with actual knowledge, you're simply wrong on this one. Again, this is PS5, I can't speak on PC.
Not that user review scores are necessarily valid, but you can see a much lower score there and Jedi Survivor didn't sell nearly as well.
What technical issues?A lot of that is based on expectations.

I would also love to see how well Wukong sold in the West compared to say Hogwarts Legacy or Elden Ring.
