Tipping is weird. I rarely ever do it. Here i think the only time when anyone does tip is if you're at a restaurant/bar having a meal then you tip the waiter/ess, getting food delivered, or in a taxi. I'd say the restaurant/bar thing is probably the only real time if you didn't tip you'd look like an ass. Otherwise there is no real pressure to tip.
To me the price advertised is the price I pay. Simple as that. If I get a taxi that cost £10 then that's what I pay. If i order a take out for £12.34 then that's what I pay and not a penny more. If you can't pay your workers a proper wage then it's not my fault. It's embarrassing and degrading having your workers stand there waiting and basically begging for money. Treat them better and show them some respect. Raise your prices if you need to. If my taxi is now £12 or my take out is now £14.34 then fine I'll pay it but don't try to pull a fast one by passing it on to me.
