Even though i own the full US version, I downloaded the demo off the UK store just to try out the custom soundtrack. I want this soooo much.

Do Japanese expansions work on American games? For example, can I play pixeljunk encore with my American version of monsters. Can anyone confirm expansions working in this way?

To answer your question though: DLC is a mixed bag for cross-region compatibility, so I would avoid testing. The reason why some aren't cross-compatible is because their might be slight differences in the version numbers between territories.
