Where was this sale even. Just UK and States for a limited time?Looks like the sale has ended. I was hoping for a permanent price drop.
Make me wonder if PS5 Digital would sell better if they lower the price to €299?
The combo of cutting the price by $200 and pcvr support coming next week has made me go from "this is dead in the water" to "hmmmm im now interested"
Picked up the horizon bundle, G923 with the stick shifter, charging set, and no man's sky today. Will get the pc adaptor next week when it releases.
Will do! My adaptor doesnt arrive until Friday...and to be honest my PSVR2 is still sitting in my living room sealed and unboxed (talk about edging myself). I plan on checking everything out this weekend. To be fair and transparent. The only other VR experience I had was PSVR1 back in the day which wasnt very good. Never tried the quest 3 so my opinion might be a bit biased as I wont have anything to compare the PSVR2 to. I am super excited though!Let us know how you like it after you get your PC adaptor.

Still, that 5 million is 2 million more than SteamVR's userbase (estimated to be 3 million users). By that metric Sony considered it a moderate success, but the market shifted to standalone and Sony didn't react accordingly.I just see no point in it. I think Sony should have learnt from the first one. It's too niche and Sony don't have or wont support it enough to make it a hot item. 5 million of the first unit should have been the writing on the wall. Sony are struggling to make games for PS5 never mind PSVR2 as well. Just dilutes resources and wastes developer time.
I’m well versed in VR racing sims but GT7 is still my absolute favorite. The car detail, tracks, and being able to literally be inside of hundreds of different cars I customized to my liking is just brilliant. Excellent weather effects, time of day options, the garages, an extensive “campaign”. It’s got it all. I went all out with a seat and Logitech pro wheel, it really feels like I’m somewhere else entirely once I get in the track.I'll reiterate my thoughts on GT7 VR. If you have any desire to want to feel like a kid again and you have fond memories of simcade racers of the past. You absolutely have to play it. Especially for people who don't have much experience with VR.

I did a google search and didn’t find a specific answer. Do you know anyone with a PSVR2 you could try?A bit of a bump (but not un-related, the psvr2 is on sale for $350)
But I was curious, I wanted to use this as a meta replacement. I have a gaming laptop (specifically a msi gl65 leopard with 2070 rtx), the usb-c supports meta quest 2 and 3 just fine, so would i be able to play the psvr2 without the adapter?
Remember when ppl thought this means PSVR2 is a success now
Lol
PSVR2 doesn't use USB Standard but VirtualLink, which use a USB connector to transmit a displayport signal, power and data. Quest 2/3 works reciving a lossy video signal with waaay less bandwith through USB 3.0 so no, you need the adapter.I did a google search and didn’t find a specific answer. Some laptops can provide power and data through the display port and on those ones you don't need an adapter. You can connect the PSVR2 directly to the laptop. Unhelpfully it's very hard to know which laptops provide the correct signals unless you try it.PSVR2 doesn't use USB Standard but VirtualLink, which use a USB connector to transmit a displayport signal, power and data. It needs to specifically support VirtualLink, because this standard also includes 27W of power, which is not capable of providing almost any of the laptops (there might be some) that can use USB-C alt mode to provide displayport output. Some laptops can provide power and data through the display port and on those ones you don't need an adapter. As of this article, there is only one announced laptop confirmed to support VirtualLink: the ASUS ROG Mothership GZ700
I too got the $350 deal. Definitely worth it!I got the $350 Horizon bundle from Costco and my wife loves the beat sabre game. Downside is that she is playing that most of the time now and I am losing my gaming time.
Simple. Get a divorce.I got the $350 Horizon bundle from Costco and my wife loves the beat sabre game. Downside is that she is playing that most of the time now and I am losing my gaming time.

In the settlement, you get the PS5. She gets the PSVR2.
Problem solved.
