Yeah, Fox might postpone its release so the film is still fresh in minds when voting starts.

...which is exactly what has happened:

Stockholm, PA didn't find a buyer at Sundance, and if an interested party isn't found in the near future I very much doubt it'll be released publicly this year, so at this stage a November release for Brooklyn means there'll be seven months between Saoirse's two 2015 releases.

Other recent tidbits: She'll be attending the Jameson Dublin Film Festival at some point later this month and hosting a Q&A to help celebrate the launch of the NPAS and Cinemagic Industry Film Academy at the end of the month.

Saoirse is from the same family of Keanu Reeves confirmed.

Apparently Lifetime picked up Stockholm, PA and will premiere the film in May:

So that's Lost River in a few weeks, Stockholm, PA a few weeks after that and then Brooklyn roughly six months later.

Edit: Interview from JDIFF, which yesterday played host to the Irish premiere of Lost River.

Edit edit: Another one, this time with The Independent. She wasn't invited to the Oscars. :(

Edit edit edit: Some pics from the event.

Edit^4: The Lost River OST track featuring Saoirse has been released: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sx83owWT5Ck. The OST in its entirety should hit iTunes and the like at some point today.

Edit^5: The Independent has posted another interview snippet.

Edit^6: A few pics from the Cinemagic Film/TV Festival (gallery one/gallery two):

Was just going to post that Saoirse had sung in one of Lost River's tracks. She has a good voice for it.

I think she's featured on another track as well, but I can't seem to find the full OST anywhere just yet. The film is only a week-and-a-half away now, though, so I might hold out regardless as I find that listening to an OST prior to seeing the film diminishes the music's impact somewhat (I encountered this most recently with Interstellar).

Edit: Oh, IDIB uploaded the entire OST to YouTube, haha. Here's Saoirse's second track, for those curious.

Edit edit: Here's an interview from the recent Cinemagic Film/TV Festival.

Her face is sometimes way puffier than others. I wonder if she takes steroid injections for something.

Don't think so. Believe me, when you see a person using steroids for controlling a disease you're going to see a very fat face (a full moon face is what is sometimes called).

Birth control maybe but just growing up mostly.

People change a lot.

Edit: Lost River says available April 10th.

Ah, must have been a mistake. It was definitely available when I made the post as I checked Google's cache and noticed the current page no longer had the pre-order buttons... plus the film has leaked to the usual places.

Edit: Here's a short a interview with Her.ie.

The premiere date has been pushed back a week, it seems. Boo. But, hey, new still:

The next several months are probably going to be quiet outside of the occasional new interview and possibly the announcement of the as-yet-unknown project she mentioned at Sundance.

Have you watched Lost River yet?

Yeah. As someone who signed up to Something Awful and wasted hours combing through the old UrbEx threads, dilapidated Detroit offered some nice visual flair and I enjoyed the soundtrack, however that's about it as far as positives go -- even Saoirse was disappointing as her character was given precious little to do. I can't help but wonder if the "curse" played a much larger role in the original script as the mystical element of the film rears its head when Bones meets Rat but then falls completely to the wayside until the very end, plus when the film was announced it was said to be partially set in an underwater town, which obviously didn't happen unless you count the scene where Bones is looking through the water and the later one where he "breaks the curse", both of which are on the short side. I get the feeling Gosling didn't quite achieve what he had originally planned and the end result is a haphazardly stitched homage to the likes of Lynch, Noe and Refn.

Edit: I should probably add that The Host is still the biggest blemish on Saoirse's resume as far as I'm concerned. As indifferent as I am towards Lost River, at least I didn't come out the other side of it wondering if I'd wasted my money. ;)

Wow, that's an incredible way of shooting a film. Can't wait to see the end results! Great to see Saoirse getting an apparently good role!

I am going to make it through this year if it kills me
I kind of wish she would do a silly project to make her more relatable.

Kristen Wiig needs to get on writing a character for her
“I would love to do SNL so much,” she gushes. “I feel like once you’ve done SNL you’ve kind of made it. My absolute dream would be to go on SNL and do The Californians. I do [that accent] all the time. As long as Kristen Wiig and Fred Armisen are in it, I’m happy. That’s the dream. If I can make it there, I can retire after that.”

My sister talks like a character on The Californians. It shows how spot on that skit is.

Oh man, I hope they choose her. She'd be awesome. Kate Upton would be awesome too.

What's the family's nationality? I'm curious what accent she'll use.

Totally off topic, but in this photo (posted above) she's standing in front of Clerys department store which sadly closed the other day after over 150 years of trading. Probably won't mean too much to people not from Dublin but it was an institution in the city.

She grew up. To comment on her weight is low. She's a talented young actress, worth more than a random poster on a message board.
