Just finished the game.
Hate to say it but I found that my opinion of the game dropped quite a bit after chapter 10. The best stuff all comes in the first two-thirds of the game or so, after that it felt a bit like the game was being stretched out, and some of the set-pieces and bosses were total duds imo. it also felt like there was too much reliance on trial and error at times.
I also don't think this will hold up to replays anywhere near as well as RE4 because of all the 'cinematic' stuff the game forces on you.
I'm glad I played it and there's definitely some good stuff in there but overall I wish that the game was more like the early chapters than the latter. They almost feel like completely different games at times. Solid game but there's no way it's going to go down as a classic. It's just not effortless or consistent enough and the story amounts to very very little in the end.
