However, this post by the Intergalatic actress just justified a good chunk of the hate the trailer was getting earlier. Or better to say, she just gave that audience a bone to chew on so that they can justify their initial outrage with confirmation bias. Like others said, this is NOT the way to handle that type of criticism. Wanna prove them wrong? Focus on actually making the character & game appealing. Focus on the story, focus on the gameplay. Don't focus on the fact the characters are women or POC because that should just be something incidental, not a selling point.

I'm not sure what to add that already hasn't been said but these developers or voice actors will come in like this are alienating their main target base.

Most of us still do play games for the fun of it and to not be reminded of real life so much especially when it comes to weird happenings in the world like we've been seeing the last four or eight years.

And I'm not one to want to cancel the game on my list but this certainly does put a asterisk on an otherwise interesting game.

And another thing that really bothers me is that she clearly is somebody that's probably on the left. If somebody on the other side said that you know they'd be trying to cancel or already have canceled even if the stupid world cancel culture stuff is at least slowing down for now.

I've always been about being fair and it's usually just one size that has been dominant in this dumb initiative of dei or woke or cancel culture.

I really like W4 reveal trailer, I think what most folks were debating are whether CDPR changed the lore in the books to make Ciri pass trials of the grasses.

And I already posted many W4 dev interviews on the board, judging by their transparency and sincerity, I tend to be believe W4 will be great and all the changes they are making will make sense.

As for Intergalactic, even now I still think the game could turn out great, and looking forward to gameplay reveals. But Druckmann's narcissism is kinda overshowing the game, those nonsense culture wars around the game should've never happened.

Agree 100%. And same thing with Naughty Dog closing the comments on Youtube, why not just let the people comment whatever and make the game trailer live up to its own merit?
