I work as a musician for a living so my year end wrapped lists are always 80% stuff I learned for gigs and projects then 20% stuff I listen to for fun. And 50% of that 20% is split between the Beach Boys and Beatles.
Teaching kids I just pull songs up on YouTube using my laptop because trying to play along with a track as a student with phone notifications going off can be challenging. Otherwise there'd be a shit ton of imagine dragons like OP.
Although I unironically love Lil Pump and have no shame in seeing him on there. Harverd Dropout is a top 3 album of the year don't @ me

Spend less time this year on spotify than in prior ones, cause I used some free youtube premium months on youtube music and amazon music unlimited inbetween being subbed to spotify, but it's still my favourite music service.
Surprised what my number one artist and song this year was. Also that I am apparently a total pop whore, even though I thought I listened to a lot of rap and rock/metal too. xD

I hit about 56k on the listening scale and my my band of the decade was Mechina which I highly recommend everyone to listen once. Epic orchestral pieces layered with mechanical guitar work, strong vocals, and an on going Sci Fi story that is on its second trilogy now. There is even a wiki dedicated to the story.
