I'm serious, I'm kinda.... really pissed off now if Mad Pierrot just decided to drop some major spoiler for the show for no reason with a poorly marked spoiler tag....

............

I'm getting even more upset just thinking about it. :(

It's just pessimistic speculation, but if you took it as a spoiler, I apologize. I probably know less about the Fate franchise than most people here.

I think its just speculation. I mean people have to start dropping at some point right?

Oh okay. That's good. I don't know what I would have done if someone really spoiled the show for me. It would be so mean. :(

Edit: Dude. Please mark spoilers even for stuff that already aired. Some people might not have seen it!

Wasn't there a thread a short while ago about how we should spoiler stuff? Maybe there really should be new rules about the context in which we do this kind of stuff.

I know about the Fate franchise and I was still kinda shocked when I read that. I don't hold you against it but that wasn't really, i dunno, appropriate.

No problem, man. Some people simply have avoided anything to do with the 'nasuverse' (and SOUND DRAMA Fate/Zero CDs) and came clean for this show... nothing more.

Japacon TV opening screens (thanks Ikari!):

There is the talk with the zombie around the 3 minute mark where the background is white, the scene where Babu is hit where there is a lot of white, and during the day there is liberal use of sunlight to the point of it being blinding like at 8:57. It's noticeable. I'm not saying the show is by any lengths animated badly, just the amount of whites was a bit distracting for me and I preferred the night shots.

Those scenes have specific reasons for using the backgrounds they. The zombie scene has a white background to indicate that it's a fantasy, and uses rolling clouds for that purpose as well. The scene with Babu is brightly lit to indicate that is a special emotionally charged moment where the protagonist is briefly shocked out of his ordinary world. (I couldn't find the third scene you mentioned.)

The night scenes have more atmosphere, but even that has a reason, as the protagonist is more immersed in the world of death and darkness than the world of day.

It's not a particularly lavish episode, but it has been made with careful intent which can't be reduced to budget-saving concerns.

Well, in all honesty, I don't think that I could
call it speculation as much as an assumption. The rules of the Holy Grail War indicate that all but one of the servants are going to die eventually, so the odds of any given servant surviving to the end are slim. It's safer to assume that your favorite servant is going to die than it is not to
, but I shouldn't have assumed that everyone would immediately share my reasoning. I really have no idea what's going to happen.

Second half of Fate/zero is best half of Fate/zero. There's just so much that I want to see from the anime.

Episode 14 and 15 sounds terrific. Let's get that hype train fired up some more!

Eh, the show is rather average. It's got a pleasant art style and decent animation for it's time, but Yurika is quite annoying (seriously, she talks way too fast and in a childish manner) and the mech battles and their designs are nothing to write home about.

I'm still going to keep watching it, as I (think) I barely scratched any of the character development, but my first impression is rather indifferent. Hope it gets better.

Oh, and welcome back PdotMichael. :)

The show definitely keeps picking up as it goes on, and you really are only scratching the surface. There's a lot of depth to the series that isn't necessarily apparent the first time you're watching it.
