The problem is, that when these publishers ship stuff in a bad state and it under performs, I imagine they see that as something customer side, rather than internally within themselves.

Never gave a hoot about male or female characters, nor attractiveness or any of that. Make a good game, I'll be there, make a good character, even better. But there's a clear trend that has become undeniable. Male characters are subverted, female characters are built up; and much, much more. Characters are being introduced in one form to get people hooked then altered or replaced and it's all going in one direction.
My only hope is this is a mid-scale game to tide us over to Ghost 2 in a couple years. Everyone liked Jin, dumping him entirely would suck.

Only quick scanned the SoP. But I thought it was good. HZD Remaster and Ghost of Girlboss, lol, were probably all there was for me.
Whilst Sony deserve a lot of the critique they get with their comms. I do think its great that they at least focus on the immediate and not too distant future with the SoP. Multiple stuff shown due to hit in a month or two. Which is good.

You are underestimating the importance of the main character. What is the point of all that previous promoting if you gonna replace the main character? They are just admiting GoT franchise is nothing more than a Assassin Creed clone.

I was very happy to see a decent of PS1/PS2 era IP highlighted too. Soul Reaver, Lunar, Dino Crisis, Dynasty Warriors. etc. Not to mention obvious stuff like Monhun, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, and let's not forget they have Silent Hill 2 remaster imminent.
I saw a comment earlier about somebody wanting the old Playstation back... well there seemed plenty of "old Playstation" in that show.

Funny you saying that. I was actually reminiscing the PS1 whilst catching up on the SoP. And thinking how I used to seem to be so excited for so much stuff back on the PS1. But some/most of that list there just isnt for me. Happy for those who it is for though - like I say I thought it was a good SoP. Even if only a couple of bits might be for me.

I'll be honest i was shocked Jin was not the protagonist and kinda disappointed at first but then it hit me that the game takes place like 300 years after GoT 1. They are turning it into their own Assassins Creed for real this time. Jin was the First Ghost creating his own Creed. Expect Ghost games outside Japan at some point in the future.

You need to have much much more strenght than when you weild one sword. Even when you parry become difficult to overcome someone with one sword.
In others words, either a really big guy use a huge two handed sword or a really big guy use two swords to mix his strenght.

Ghost looks really nice. I see some (a lot) of outrage on twitter about the decision to swap main characters but I honestly couldn't care less. Truth be told, Jin wasn't a very interesting character in the first place.
