It is sad to hear this. In my opinion best solution for this would be paywall but i know that you can't do that (i mean you can but Valve would call you and ask you to stop it).

I actually think charging people for the software would generate even more problems, since that would transition these complaints from user complaints to customer complaints and I'd have to handle things like refunds for people who didn't understand what they were purchasing etc. Also yeah, Valve probably wouldn't take too kindly to it.

I can see how running a freeware/open source project would be difficult, and I can't even imagine how hard it would be to handle something remotely popular. Some of our apps are designed for professionals and you wouldn't believe the kinds of dumb questions we get sometimes. It's no wonder most open source project forums are full of antagonistic devs and WONTFIX big reports - that's the attitude you have to wear to get through any of it.

Look out for yourself first. You've done all of us a great service.

Well in the newest releases it was changed to say "Idling complete, no more card drops available" to try to alleviate the problem. Additionally I thought it would help if Idle Master was properly translated into the Steam-available languages, but that didn't really help either. It made the program more accessible which I think only made the problem worse.

It's a strange thing, because unlike Enhanced Steam the word of mouth advertising of Idle Master typically revolves around "I ran this program for a week and got a bunch of free money in my Steam account!" and their friends try it and don't get the same result so they wonder why and some of them complain that it's "not working".

I personally wouldn't have an issue with this, as developing Deaf Mountains under the reign of Sony would still be better than not having the game at all, but the platformwarriorcirlcejerk will probably be at a new high.

Good that he and his team is landing on their feet. Bad (for me) if their games are never gonna come to PC. Let's wait, nothing's set in stone yet.
