There were some exceptions, but typically I don’t have great experiences with people who refer to themselves as any sort of God, King, or Lord in their usernames online (unless it’s obviously a joke name, like Lord of Poop or something). These people, ones that I have met anyway, tend to be very egotistical.

Guarantee you it happens plenty. I was in one competitive match the other day on Overwatch and somebody quit on the first round of a Control match (basically take control of the central area for a specific amount of time, 2 out of 3 rounds decides winning team). The enemy had control but had gotten only up to 30%, plenty of time for a comeback but somebody on my team already decided to call it quits.
Funny enough, any recent rage quitting I've experienced on Overwatch has all been in the special Arcade competitive mode that removes role lock. The now-regular Competitive mode that does have role lock (two DPS, two healers, two tanks), I can't even recall a recent rage quit. It's almost like role lock was actually needed to bring some sanity and balance to competitive matches and the sort of people who think a team with 3 snipers and a Genji is a great idea probably have plenty of the same sort of people who rage quit a lot. Some people were claiming role lock would ruin the competitive side of the game, but based on my experience it saved it and then some.
