New third party games will come later rather in 2025 rather than on launch (unless they just so happen to be launching on that particular day).
The new games at launch will all be first party (unless they are some surprising third party exclusives, but I don't expect too many of them).
which version ?
The HD remaster on the xbox doesn't feel right and the n64 version runs like dogshit. I didnt play the others.
The game is a classic dont get me wrong but there is a million better fps experiences out there to play today. The poster was claiming it would sell 10 million copies, no way the kids of today would give it more than 5 minutes.
At most youre gonna see a switch 2 update like what we got with ps5/xsxI mean a different build and not the backwards compatibility game.
Now we’re talking!But what about what I actually want from 3rd Party's?
Metal Gear Revengeance Remastered
Ubisoft always brings a game to a Nintendo launch.
There will probably be Starwars things
How would COD be able to come to Switch 2 when there are constantly huge updates. Maybe they could do a monthly update instead? Still, storage space will be an issue for sure.
Sure, that's a fair point. And an expensive one.Game requires SD card, done

Dude, don't be so meanFull blown COD on handheld requires non-proprietary storage, boo hoo.
Not only that, €80 for ports of games that released years ago. They’re going to milk us dry.80euro games.
I would expect at least 2 first party launch titles. Didn't Switch 1 release with Mario Odyssey and BOTW?New third party games will come later rather in 2025 rather than on launch (unless they just so happen to be launching on that particular day).

The team behind that game was shut down, so I'm not so sure.Visions of Mana will probably get a port.
Switch had 1 2 Switch and BOTW at launch (Odyssey came in October 2017).I would expect at least 2 first party launch titles. Didn't Switch 1 release with Mario Odyssey and BOTW?
Mario Odyssey 2 and they would fly off shelves. The team behind that game was shut down, so I'm not so sure.
Switch had 1 2 Switch and BOTW at launch (Odyssey came in October 2017).
I would imagine Switch 2 gets a 3D Mario and a new casual IP.
Yeah, i am conflicted here. The team behind that game was shut down, so I'm not so sure.

FFVIIR and more Xbox titles as well.Looks like Master Chief Collection, Flight Simulator, FF7 Remake and Rebirth are all coming to Switch 2.
They don't need the movie to launch the game, if anything movies and tv shows seem to give a significant boost to games that are already out. We've seen this with the Witcher and Fallout shows.Yeah, i am conflicted here.
Assumption 1.) Switch 2 launches w/ 3d Mario and a social title, for example: Switch sports Resort or Nintendoland
—or—
WOULD Nintendo want to keep 3d Mario for November release so it launches close to Mario Movie 2?
Assumption 2.) Switch 2 Launches w/ Mario Kart and another title. Like Metroid Prime 4.
Would Nintendo launch Mario Kart when the user base is new and non existent? MK is a Multiplayer focus game.
COULD Nintendo launch with Metroid Prime 4 and something else? Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Deluxe? (As rumored a while back?)
My only thought. If Switch 2 launches between Spring and Summer 2025…Is Nintendo knows Switch 2 will be popular and the “CORE” will buy Switch 2 at launch. Mass audience will start buying around holidays 2025.
Selling to the CORE first allows Nintendo to get the hardcore satisfied first, and thus the 1st party releases will reflect that.
That may be true. I don’t have the numbers to know if it is better to release the title within a window near a movie release or it gives boosts to games regardless of when it releases. They don't need the movie to launch the game, if anything movies and tv shows seem to give a significant boost to games that are already out. We've seen this with the Witcher and Fallout shows.
I think option 1. The next movie isn't until April 2026 anyway.Yeah, i am conflicted here.

I do think the theory could come true, but only as a coincidence. As in, the decision on which characters to put in Smash Ultimate wasn't influenced by third party support for Switch 2.FFVIIR and more Xbox titles as well.
I will stand firm on this. Every 3rd party character in Smash Bros show’s up on Switch 2 or Switch 1 w/ a game.
If MCC does come, I also think this cements Master Chief is in the next Smash Bros.
Yeah, i often wonder if the it is a 3d Mario, then the other game is a casual party game. I know you think new IP, which would be great. But, i wonder if it is Switch Sports 2.I think option 1. The next movie isn't until April 2026 anyway.
3D Mario amd new IP at launch as Switch 2 exclusives, then Switch 2 exclusive Mario Kart for the holidays.
Then there will be a bunch of cross gen games like Prime 4 Beyond, Pokémon Legands ZA, Fire Emblem 4 remake and Kid Icarus Uprising remaster.

I have a feeling that EA is one of Nintendos big partners this gen. Maybe like Ubisoft was for Switch.ME Trilogy would be nice, it also would require EA not having the most massive of chips on their shoulder when it comes to Nintendo (nothing was stopping them from putting the past-gen trilogy on NS1).
Baulder's Gate 3, Elden Ring, & CoD BO6 are my big guesses. Activision signed a 10-year deal with Nintendo for CoD & both BG3 & ER sound like the exact kind of games to be the equivalent to Skyrim in the original Switch's reveal.
