I think it really depends what one construes as "fair". Quite honestly I saw some conversations in the thread degenerate pretty quickly. Whether we're talking about Tekken or ISIS, courtesy is needed on forums, especially GAF lol.
Uh ok, interesting to see what you think of the costume on Katarina, but I personally think the idolmaster costumes on eight of the nine female characters (too bad for Leo) look fantastic and are a pretty neat premium that is only a limited available option (this campaign ends on the 19th). I say that too as someone who doesn't give a shit about idolmaster, yet Harada ended up winning me over on this Tekken x idolmaster collaboration.
Hahaha, no don't get me wrong, I don't mind the costumes. It's just that particular picture you took. Her head looks super tiny, her body massive, the hair ugly and shoddily modeled and the idolmaster get-up unflattering (on her). Looks good on the usual suspects, though, as expected.
I can already see Namco showing the first footage of Nina in TK7 while Sayah is temp banned... the irony.
Of course I hope he'll be back in time for her reveal.
Or do I...
lol of course I do. We'd be missing out on some quality Nina discussion and analysis with him not being present for the imminent reveal.
Fair enough, it's hard to take screenshots when I'm trying to play so unfortunately the angles aren't that great. :/
Sucks that Sayah got banned.
And to Sayah, I agree about Katarina and the im@s costumes, but it really does look good on her ingame regardless. It's probably my favorite now, unless I get something better. The ranger and bikini getups are nice too.
I do branch out to KOF and the other 3D games, and I want to get into SFV in future. So after getting bodied in the SFV beta, I realized yet again how fighting games require patience and dedication...
However, at this point in my life, I'm not too concerned about learning the ins and outs of SFV. I didn't play SFIII or SFIV all that much, and I'm not inclined to dedicate myself to this upcoming title.
Tekken is different story. I grew up playing Tekken, and I've invested a bit more in the series. So, I'm pondering whether to just stick to Tekken when it comes to fighters. TekkenGAF, do you mainly stick to Tekken or do you branch out to other fighters? If you branch out, how do you think it relates to your ability to play Tekken?
P.S- Here's what PR Balrog says on the matter:

Fighting games do indeed take time and dedication, but that's what's fun about them.
I understand Pr Rogs point, but I think its only true if you're trying to be the best at multiple games. If you have 1 main game which you play the most and keep up with all of the tech, and sidegames you play for fun, I think it can only help you play better.
Ultwarrior just do what I do. Play Tekken seriously as your main game but also play like everything else but like semi-serious or casually.
ISIS thread stuff. What did Sayah get banned for? Is he being a pervert again?

Tekken still has the highest amount of players Online. It's getting less though.
Don't worry about it. I run Fingers To Fight online weeklies in America. As accessible as online is, growing an online tournament is no easy feat. I try to make mention of Biiruken on social media when I catch it live.I forgot to tell people but we moved our tournament day to Tuesday since Wednesday was overlapping with a bunch of people and their offline events.
So the last Biiruken was yesterday... But if you're still interested in seeing the level Finland is in (online at least), here's a playlist. The winners final is stuck in some rendering limbo but should also be up at some point.
I also kind of feel guilty about posting here and talking about our biweekly every time so there you go. I
I missed it. What did they say about the game? Did they like it? I read earlier that it's coming to Wii U after all.Tekken's usual suspects got their hands on Pokken in a tournament.
Claudio's Genocide Cutter probably just has early crush frames.
Nope. Tested that when I went down to play Tekken 7. Airborne on frame 9 like every normal hopkick.
Then that shit is busted.

It's like you're complaining that lows should clip the lower hanging leg of every hopkick which is silly.
No.
I'm saying that it looks butt fucking ugly when lows go through the leg like that due to crush frames. They should animate the moves to make them actually look airborne when the frames dictate it so people can see less shit like what happened in that video.

Not very detailed but it looks like they enjoyed it.
Also Manny you seem to miss the point of the video in general. Which is simply that Claudio players hopkick a lot. Nothing more, nothing less. Clipping will always be in video games, so I suggest you try to get over this minor annoyance you have with it.
That is a waste of time & resources & would severly limit the different types of animations you could use. Do you also have a problem in 2D games when characters magically move through fireballs & attacks because of strike & projectile invincibility?

I get the feeling we will get 2 of these things at best.Mark my words:
The day Tekken will revamp all the animations to prevent the instances that ruin the presentation from the taktak clip, removal of the carnival of stupid customs, giving respect back to its characters, fix the incessent clipping, create a proper animation transition system to prevent abrupt teleportations, etc. will be the day Tekken can regain its popularity from a decade ago.
