I sure have enjoyed reading NeoGAF over the years. This place always felt to me that at it's core it's about loving video games and I just want to say I appreciate all of the many thoughts shared here, especially the heated arguments. I was always on your side and rooting for you.

I don't like playing games but I like watching my son and brother play them. I mainly wanted to be able to comment on the political and off-topic threads in a way that would affirm the picture of men and women and sex and sex-roles that 98% of people took for granted in 1650, 94% in 1750, 86% in 1850, and 70% in 1950. (See, the drop-off doubles each time.) I take it that this picture is inscribed in Heaven, in the mind of God -- that's what's technically labelled "natural law."

Hello all! I've been a long time forum reader however only joined recently.
I sometimes have bouts of extreme anxiety about talking to new people, which is probably what's kept me from joining and participating. I have loved gaming since I was a kid and my parents let me play with their NES. My first system I owned personally was a blue game boy pocket with a copy of pokemon blue. I stuck with Nintendo up untill I got an original xbox with halo and have enjoyed gaming on all systems since. Hoping to break through my anxieties and meet some awesome people to have discussions with and possibly game with. My current platforms of choice are the PS4, Switch, and PC. Look forward to engaging with you all!

I used to read NeoGAF a few years ago, never joined for two reasons:
None of the email addresses I had were "valid".
It seemed like people got banned here very easily, sometimes over nebulous logic to say the least.
However I understand a thing happened. And now this place is different. Hence I was able to make an account for instance. Gotta say, this place seems a lot more relaxed now. People talk more freely, and fun is apparently allowed again. Thanks for rejuvenating this site.

Compared to what it used to be before the exodus and from what I’m seeing in the past few days, this site’s awesome now which is why I lurked before but have decided to finally join. Even from what I’m seeing around the web GAF’s reputation is drastically improving. Actual discussion and divergence of opinion seems to now be allowed. Even though I disagree with Trump supporters (for one example) it’s great to see they are finally able to express themselves without being banned for “excusing racism”, “xenophobia”, or whatnot.
I think the exodus to a site I’ll not name was a much needed toxic waste dump, the best thing that could’ve happened to this site, and has ultimately benefited this forum and will in the long-term, as long as the moderation remains sensible.

I'm Rob i came from Resetera but lately that site is just insufferable for me, I find it more relaxed and friendly here without people ready to jump down your throat for not being a part of the hive mind.
Outside of the interwebs I work as an Executive Chef for Hyatt Hotels, and I am a big Nintendo fan but dabble in PC and PlayStation.
Look forward to continuing to chat with y'all.

What's up fellow gamers? Long-time lurker from France here. I've been browsing GAF since 2015, but my first account sadly never got to be verified. I started playing video games when I was a wee little lad on my PlayStation 1 and GBC. Now, I mostly play on PC (ex-T500 Overwatch player), but I also have a PS4 for the exclusives (Spider-Man GOTY 2018, 1v1 me) and a N3DSXL+PS Vita to scratch my handheld itch.
