I got you bro.Bought the games 2 times each. Could never get into them. The only metroidvania that is that way for some reason. Story was great.
I think my issue was the graphics. The graphics are gorgeous but also very cluttered and the light/dark areas make it harder for me to track what is going on vs any other game of the same type. I spent a lot of time trying to dial in the brightness/contrast. Something about these graphics brought out the OCD in me. Just being honest. If I experienced this then I know I'm not the only one. I've got No Rest For the Wicked on my wishlist. Not saying they should change anything, the games may just not be for me.
