Fable?

I don't get the hate. it's intentionally british and cheeky. Graphically it looks pretty outstanding to me, and I don't doubt Playground games will deliver in spite of that.

I don't see how you can say that Fable is part of their "great 2025" and then call it woke trash in the next sentence....like, what?

The love letter to the south game just looks downright mid, and the other elements don't help it's case. It'll get Hellbladed quickly into irrelevance.

Oh without a doubt Fable will be quality. I don’t think PG will serve up a stinker yet. I may not like it based on what I’ve seen so far, but that game has huge potential.

Super Hans yes, Ayoade eh. Ayoade is funny the first 1 or 2 times you see him bit then his shtick and persona get really old. So the first trailer set alarm bells off, but we don’t know to what extent these actors appear in the game. Based on the pedigree of the studio, their location (Lemington Spa is a hot location) and the recruitment drive, I’m hopeful we have better writers for Fable than we do for FH. I just hope it’s not sanitised writing.

I didn't skip them. I have played those games after the trilogy but I didn't like them that much

So what are you expecting this Gears of War to play like F-Zero or something?
Its going to be Gears of War if you dont like Gears of War then dont play Gears of War, how have you played 5 or 6 games and not realized you didnt like the games, yet kept playing the games?
The same way when a new Gran Turismo is announced people dont wonder if we get to use guns this time, we know what we are gonna get.

All the Gears of War games were good for people who like Gears of War, people who were expecting Dance Dance Revolution would be sorely disappointed.........what you were expecting after the first 2 games that drove you to continue going?

Strong doubts we see the Oblivion remake so soon. Why not show it off in the direct yesterday if it was releasing in late spring / early summer?

I've been 50/50 on it.

On one hand, a summer showcase shadowdrop this year would be pretty cool.

On another hand, Xbox's Oblivion 20th anniversary is technically next year, not this one.

Never thought I would say this after going through Clit Bleszinsky (also known as ClittyB, Clitoris Beta) GoW campaigns, I just like good games and lore, but I was so fucking tired of the shit in those three games I 60% put them on easy just so I could rush through them and get all the lore into my veins...

but just last month I started GoW 4 and then went straight through GoW 5 and I must say, they really clicked for me in graphics , gameplay, story, acting, etc. Now I fully understand why people say all the time The Coalition is the best thing MS has.

So I'm happy to count myself in for Gears E Day.

To be a real turnaround year, lets first see how any of those games even do. I think Gears will be fine, but Fable with a new team and Oblivion remake are sus ones. We don't know how they will do tbh. I think this year has good potential for MS as a publisher, in terms of XB hardware........that ship has sailed lol

Fable imho really has to knock it out of the park to solidify this year for them, as I'm sure Gears will be fine and even if Oblivion remake is a flop, folks can still play the original and its not a massive fuck up or something

Agreed. I feel this is risky marketing and maybe they should have a window for marketing for Oblivion. I feel the whole Ninja Gaiden situation, I feel even announcing the 4th game was a bad idea with the shadow drop. At first i though the reveal about it was just the 4th game so didn't know about the shadow drop of the remake until after lol

Judgement isnt actually a bad game, and I wouldnt mind it being in the Gears Collection.
Gears 4 was kinda a slog right up until the Swarm are introduced, then that shit was great and it holds till the end, and probably has the best horde mode of all the Gears games.
Gears 5 the main problem is that the open world completely kills the pacing of the campaign, I really wish there was a way to like skip open world, just play me a cutscene that leads to the next action stage, but the story certainly wasnt dull and the game has so much lore within the Gears Universe id say any fan shouldn't skip it for that alone.
Hivebusters is straight up fire, anyone who doesnt like Hivebusters probably just never liked Gears to begin with
Gears Tactics if you like Xcom then this was a very solid entry into the series, im always tempted to reinstall it so I have something to play when im hungover.

I finished trilogy many times. I am a huge fan. if these never come to pc or ps5, I will get xsx JUST to replay gears in 4k.
I am also a big fan of original gears and don't like Ultimate edition and I am a bit sour on added brumak level on pc version as it breaks the pacing a tiny bit. not the biggest deal.

Gears 4 I finished only 2 times and 1 time in coop. Gears 5 I only finished in local coop... It sucked so bad. 4 was OK though. I loved old Marcus

Playing it right now, on the last chapter. I don't see what's so special. Everything is as generic modern gears as it gets. Zero chemistry between the characters which are all very unlikable. I was expecting something more after all the praise.

I just got tired of the series at that point. They should find a way to reinvent the formula similar to what GOW 2018 did.

They already did that with Gears 5.
Especially act 2 is a dream, it feels like an authentic winter adventure.

When you go to the campaign menu just select Hivebusters and choose your characters.
