Former PC exclusive shooter rips onto console.

"Turbo Overkill is the most savage FPS ever released by Apogee. You play as Johnny Turbo, augmented with hidden arm rockets and a chainsaw that extends from your lower leg allowing you to slide-slice enemies wide open."

Just finished the 5th level tonight and it's amazing.

Dashing around the arenas in a lightspeed dance of death, juggling tons of enemies at once and wiping out all opposition in a whirlwind of fire and guts, its some of the most fun I've had with a game in ages.

After clearing one particular room I had to pause to literally catch my breath, it was so intense my heart was racing.

Bloody brilliant game.

All of these are essentially the same soulless noise to me.
Just so generic shlocky looking.... nothing like real 90s shooters
Yeah, why aren't they more like Forspoken? THAT is a clearly 100% original non-generic game with no issues whatsoever.

This is one of the very few games the Pro type controllers are very helpful. I already played this on PC but I'm always willing to play through a game again for trophies and junk too. It translates well on PS5 too.

iirc when I tried this on PC it felt more like a phone game than a PC FPS. Rip PC gaming

Played a little bit, but it kind of felt to fast and like you were doing your own thing regardless what the enemies did.

I gave the demo a try and the art style was great, but seems like console might not be the ideal place for it. Aim assist in fast paced games is one thing, but the game has full auto aim that snaps on targets and you can't even shoot barrels next to them because it just refuses to let you manually adjust. Perhaps there is an option to turn it down, but I did not manage to find it at a quick glance. Seems like this one needs a mouse for now.

I’ll wait for an eventual patch to dive in fully, aim speed feels weird when going diagonally, like it’s half speed. If you try and draw a circle with your reticle it ends up being a square.

The aim assist is also pure trash, like the Previous post mentioned you cant even shoot barrels near enemies.

Aim assist can be turned off under settings > controls > controller > aim assist
