Project Maverick, which was initially intended as a multiplayer component to Far Cry 7 morphed into its own project in early 2023, but after internal review, the project has been rebooted.

That’s according to several sources familiar with the projects development, who said that the “writing was on the wall” for a number of months. It was said that the final nail in the coffin came after its dedicated tech team called Talisker (also the old name of Far Cry 7 before it morphed into two separate projects), moved from Maverick to be fully dedicated to Blackbird in late December to ensure the project stays on track.

Didnt they do this for Skull and Bones as well.
People might buy FarCry 7 but they arent gonna be buying a new IP thats purely MP from Ubisoft.
Make it F2P but have it be packaged with FarCry 7 just to onboard people.
I didnt play the last FarCry but i believe it sold enough to cover its budget, that enough players to atleast onboard the MP mode that will get other people to atleast try the stand alone MP.


Isnt that how Warzone ended up launching, it was part of the MP then became stand alone?

I swear that image was ripped directly from The Division Heartlands, which was another spin-off shooter, from their better series. Now they are making a FC extraction game, how nice...lol. Is there any company on this planet with worse management and a bigger fall off in the last decade? AC Shadows has to out-perform Valhalla for the company to keep the lights on. There is a huge option gambling opportunity with UBI stock this month.
