It was half joking, but just search sales on here and count how many UK threads there are until you hit another kind 😂
To be fair the UK is weekly like Japan while the US and Europe are monthly which is why you see the UK and Japan sales threads more often.

Blaming Phil Spencer is kinda crazy when he is basically the only reason Xbox is still here, he fought to keep the suits from shutting it down years ago .

PlayStation is just a Monster that you can't eat for breakfast even Nintendo ran away from direct competition in the console market with PlayStation while Xbox was dumb enough to think they had a chance because of all the money they have to throw away. Xbox just failed to create their own market instead of trying to take the market that PlayStation opened up.

Now they want to take the market that Steam , Android & Apple Opened up.

There is room in the market as long as you bring something different to the table like Wii , Switch, Meta Quest.

Kinect & Series S would have a market to itself right now.

This part is very interesting to me, is there an ATVI x Xbox cultural battle happening at MS Gaming?
To really sum this up: Yes, there is. In fact, I think its far more fair and accurate to say that while ABK was purchased by MS, in terms of exec authority/influence, its more like if ABK leadership bought out Xbox. Which makes sense - on paper, ABK was infinitely more successful than Xbox has ever been on their own. Not the first time this sort of thing has happened in the Mergers & Acquisitions world. Look into the buyout of McDonnell Douglas by Boeing. On paper, Boeing did the buy, but in terms of authority, the McDonnell Douglas folks took over and subsequently have been running Boeing aircraft production into the ground, but thats a completely unrelated story.

Gamesindustry.biz is based in the UK, and we have GfK as a tracker. That means we get:

1. Weekly software reports
2. Monthly hardware and software reports
3. Extra tweets from Dring (until the end of this year).

That's more sources of info than any other market.
