Yeah, if this doesn't lead to a Proto/Sonic feud now...

Amazing show from Bazza. Best EG in a while. Although the climax wasn't quite as epic as "I lift" last season, I felt far more engaged in the matches themselves, which is quite something.

Next season: everyone wants Guile dead, hopefully.

The ending wasn't as wacky and plot based as prior seasons, it was just straight up a contest for the title (which rarely closes out Endgames to be honest) with a feel good ending. Enjoyable stuff.

It was nice to have an End Game that was supported by a bunch of really solid matches, conclusions to existing feuds, and titles changing hands.

Like, having batshit crazy, plot scene-centric End Games like last time is, of course, insanely fun, but this was just a great night of wrestling, with really good use of the plot it did have.

It's a good change of pace to have a very match-focused End Game this time. Keeps it fresh. Helps that the result of the final Championship match was a win for a long suffering fan favorite.

Yeah, when you have the opportunity for that kind of natural catharsis, you take it and save the plot shenanigans for another night.

(Of course, it was a bit lucky that the RNG gods and AI monster produced the right result, and also gave him this match to begin with - though Phoenix winning that Triple Threat would have had a similar effect.)

edit - It even had the double meaning of reinforcing the Ring Rangers plot that went on all season. They were a bunch of midcarders who just wanted their day in the sun, and in the end, the King of the Midkard walks out of the season as the champ. Just beautiful with the Rangers all standing on the ramp applauding at the end of it all. Bazza, you sly dog.

One of my biggest complaints about previous finales was the ending was pretty much decided regardless of who won. Hero loses? No biggie, we'll just fix that in a cutscene. To actually have the penultimate match mean something is nice, not that I don't enjoy the more story-heavy finales which are good in a different way.

I'm glad Guile won even if we should all hate him. I thought it would lead to some good promos.

I'm kind of mixed on the plot ending. He usually wraps it up a little better, but this way they can start next season with something.

What was the scene of Guile in the limo for? I thought it would get hit or blow up... or something. It almost made it look like his was leaving VGCW but I doubt it.

Honestly at the end, I thought Sonic was going to turn heal, turn into Shadow and end of being Soldier Black.

I'm glad it was Johnny Cage. I can only imagine the wonderful asshole promos he and the PRATS could cut together.

The Saiyans and Scorpion claiming gold in the same show instantly makes it the best show ever.

Illidan is waiting in the wings for his plot appropriate title shot.

Great show Bazza
