Its like Microsoft has all the right people at Xbox except the person who can make the actual decisions. I honestly don't think Phil Spencer has a lot of power to make the changes. I think MS is letting the Xbox go as a brand and they don't exactly care about what makes up that brand. Xbox exists as simply "Xbox". Put the brand on computers, sell the console on Microsoft's web store, but we don't actually care about what we release for it.

He’s right, but what more can they do than what they’ve done for the last year? They’ve bought a huge amount of exclusive development talent.

It’s going to take some time to see the benefits of that, and whether it works as Microsoft hopes it will, but they are addressing the problem.

He is not wrong, but its was not that bad for xbox in my opinion, well it actually is for xbone but i think 360 was kinda solid. Not really an "unbiased" video but the lack of xbone exclusive hits really hurt the xbox, so i agree on that.

It is kinda right... 360 was ON FIRE. multiplats were better and it had amazing exclusives like halo games, gears games, chromehounds, dead rising and so on. One has almost nothing that ps4 don't and ps4 have more

Right., Their E3 this year was a good step in the right direction, but Microsoft has a lot of work to do to bring new games to the table.

What absolutely bonkers me is that they have a few games in their arsenal that people want to see again like: Fable and Perfect Dark. These would be killer games to bring back to the market and bring new experiences from.

Instead, there's Sea of Thieves that started poorly and the same racing game (albiet good) almost every year.

Oh, I know. I just can't get into his comedy. I have tried on numerous occasions, but I could never even muster a chuckle. Just not for me, I guess.

Agreed. There’s a lot of potential to outsource these classic licenses, like they did with Killer Instinct, or Cal-Arts Battletoads (lol, I couldn’t resist).

Find a great developer, even one on a contract basis, and the Perfect Dark franchise, among others like Banjo Kazooie, could spring to life. Heck, give Playtonic a call for the latter.

PS4 was really good, X1 was really bad, they said they would make it better and get meaningful exclusives but they haven’t. Instead they put the exclusives they have on PC and then made a bunch UIs all worse than any of the X360 ones.

I don’t really know what they’re thinking tbh, Xbox is dangerously close to becoming irrelevant.

Why do console war comparisons always ignore the Gran Turismo and Forza franchises?

They are literally the biggest selling exclusive franchises on both platforms.

It's the same with GOTY shows. Lets ignore the biggest selling games because they don't have a story.

I can’t disagree with this. It’s been remarkable to watch how severely the Xbox brand has fallen off. It’s going to take a pretty massive fuckup from Sony for Microsoft to have any chance at regaining mind share in Gen9.

It’s been a comedy of errors over the last six years, with few exceptions. With Microsoft losing its quality exclusives, shipping low-quality sequels to formerly huge IP, and committing more to PC and Nintendo than to its own Xbox brand, it’s not outrageous to wonder how interested Microsoft is in being competitive anymore in the console space.

What are you talking about, Forza has never been a great seller. The only Sim racer that has been a great Seller is GT.....

Erm, you might want to look at franchise sales numbers :messenger_grinning_smiling: (GT is sony biggest selling franchise by a LARGE margin).

As for Forza. Each Forza game sells an average of 9 million. MS have released one each year for the entire gen...... Do the math :messenger_grinning_smiling:

So there you have it. The two biggest selling franchises for MS and Sony, and most people ignore it *Shrug*
