I got rather recently into VNs through a friend of mine back in 2022 so there's not many that I've read/played so far. But from the ones I've read and/or played I enjoyed World End Syndrome, Steins;Gate, but also the more interactive ones like AI Somnium Files, 13 Sentinels and Rain Code.

Very good VNs there! I have most of these as well with the exception of The Zero Escape Trilogy which I'll be getting during a sale on Steam and Death Mark II.Yeah I haven't played a lot myself but I'm planning on playing more over the next few years
For me the best VNs are
The House In Fata Morgana
The Zero Escape Trilogy
13 Sentinels Aegis Rim
Danganronpa
I'll be playing through all Ace Attorney games on Switch this year
Also getting Death Mark II. Enjoyed the first two but they were just good
Thanks for the recommendation. I've added it to my wishlist on Steam.
Very pretty box art and it looks like Mages are the devs so hopefully they'll do a western release soon (phyisical and digital)!I wish thats coming in English
I bought the visual novel of The Witch and the Holy Night. In any case, this visual novel catches my attention... If not, I will use my hand all the time to translate using Google translator I. I know it's a great VN from a friend of mine who imported it last year from Japan so hopefully you'll have a great experience reading/playing it (not jealous at all ).I bought the visual novel of The Witch and the Holy Night. That said, I'm pretty bummed that I missed out on the limited edition of the Witch on the Holy Night last year. It was cheap when converted from yen to euro, but it only caught my attention after my friend wouldn't stop talking about it. However, by then, it was too late, lol.
Anyway, I'll be asking a friend who plans to go to Japan to get me either the Switch or the PS4 limited edition of this VN from there.

2P Games and Zerocreation Games have launched the English localization for the highly rated visual novel The Hungry Lamb: Traveling in the Late Ming Dynasty on PC via Steam. Steam players who have played the Chinese version that launched last October are currently rating the game very positively.
The topics of the game are pretty heavy as players take on the role of Liang, a bandit who agrees to a human trafficking job to escort four girls to Luoyang City. As the journey progresses, players face a series of philosophical and moral decisions that influence the direction of the story and lead to one of nine different endings. The plot thickens when one of the girls, Sui, reveals a sinister plot involving their final client – a swine demon that has preyed upon girls for thousands of years. Sui, seeking vengeance for her sister and other victims, enlists Liang’s help to assassinate the demon. Players are tasked with gathering information and uncovering the truth behind Sui’s claims and the nature of their jobs.
The characters in The Hungry Lamb are complex and multidimensional. Liang, coming from a family with a business background, aspires to be a knight-errant but finds himself turned into a bandit following the Tianqi Explosion of 1626. Sui, a nine-year-old mute girl from Luoyang, seeks revenge for her sister’s death at the hands of the swine demon, a being she claims is the secret employer behind Liang’s mission.
The Hungry Lamb: Traveling in the Late Ming Dynasty promises a deeply engaging narrative experience, challenging players’ moral boundaries and offering a vivid exploration of the late Ming era through its diverse cast of characters. The game’s high degree of choice-based freedom and multiple endings ensure a unique experience for each player, allowing them to immerse themselves in the historical and cultural context of the story. With its controversial topics and dark visual style, The Hungry Lamb is designed to provoke thought and push the limits of player morality, making it a standout title for those interested in a more profound and thought-provoking gaming experience.
VNDB has various tags for gameplay though whether they allow the title or not depends on if they actually consider it to be a visual novel.Any site's or archives with a list that has VN's listed with gameplay elements like 13 Sentinels, Baldr Sky ect. links would be appreciated
For this year, on the VN front I'm playing
Utawarerumono Trilogy
Muv-Luv Trilogy
Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Trilogy
Apollo Justice Ace Attorney Trilogy
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles
Maybe for this year
Science Adventure VNs
Shiravune has announced that the Dark One!- developed visual novel An Aunt After My Own Heart will be released tomorrow in the West on PC via Johren, JAST, MangaGamer, and Denpasoft.
Developed by the team behind the Nope Nope Nurses trilogy, the story follows protagonist Keisuke Shinozaki as he visits his grandparents’ home for Summer break. During his stay, he encounters his aunt, Yuuka, whom he has admired since childhood. However, Keisuke discovers that she is now engaged.
Two storylines will be available. The first, Longing and Guilty Pleasure, has Keisuke confess his feelings to Yuuka due to his unwillingness for her to be betrothed to someone else. The second storyline, Regrest and Lust, follows the protagonist when he’s older, deciding to steal back Yuuka after giving his blessing for her marriage years before.
Unfortunately, Shiravune also announced that Steam has rejected the title, so it will not be available there.
