This is a problem for me as well. The only PC handheld I've used that I didn't hate the ergonomics of is the ROG Ally because it's not fucking huge. I get the size is partially because of specs and needing the internals to be bigger but I just don't like using them.
Also I'm going to have to buy a damn Satisfye grip again and it already makes the normal Switch pretty big but now it's going to be gigantic.
I really wish they would just release a home console only SKU.
OLED Steam Deck had a better reveal.
I just rewatched the trailer and it's not that great. It barely shows anything and is basically a Steam Deck surrounded by Steam Decks and just says OLED at the end. That reveal ain't it dude.
I didn't like that they punted the detailed reveal down the road and just showed us stuff that was already leaked. Other than that, it was fine.
Not only that but it's 3 months down the road which is way too long. It should be like a month out.
No analog triggers again, no good D-pad, the same poor ergonomics as the Switch, going back from OLED to LCD, MK9 looks too much like MK8, SoC 8nm, etc...
No analog triggers is fucking stupid. Every single PC handheld and even some of the retro emulation handhelds have them as well. There is no reason why they can't put analog triggers but I guess nobody buys stuff like racing games on Nintendo consoles anyway.
It's definitely going to be annoying going from OLED to LCD again and it's definitely Nintendo cheaping out. Hopefully we get a good LCD like the Portal or ROG Ally at the minimum.
As somebody who doesn't own a single display for gaming that isn't OLED besides my Portal/CRT it just sucks (LG C2 55 in living room and a 42 in the bedroom, KTC 1440p/240hz OLED Monitor, iPhone 15 Pro, iPad Pro M4, and a Retroid Pocket 5 coming). My MacBook isn't OLED but I've played like 1 game on it which was The Coffin of Andy and Leyley.
