Galaxy 3 would be a dream come true. Those games still look absolutely gorgeous, and that’s on the freaking Wii.

I truly have no idea what kind of Mario game Nintendo has in store for us. I feel like they’ve gotta be running out of core-gameplay gimmicks at this point (like the hat toss in Odyssey, or the gravity in Galaxy, or FLUDD).

I’d be thrilled if they went back to the roots and made a new Mario 64-like game where you have to explore a new version of Peach’s castle, or something similar. I really miss exploring all of the nooks and crannies in an enclosed space like that.

I wouldn't want a whole game to be based around it, but the multiplayer mods/hacks of Odyssey showed the potential for multiplayer modes like hide and seek, capture the flag, treasure hunt, etc. The Odyssey moveset is the most versitile and breakable a 3D Mario has ever had.

So, an Odyssey 2 that maintains the Cappy powers seems like a good next move for enabling that.

Galaxy sequel. The originals aren't really as accessible as they should be.

Nintendo is one of the few developers I trust to tell me what I want. Kojima, From, there aren't many others. But I trust the Big N.

None of those, it should be Super Mario 128 (follow up to 64).

You know what, I agree with you. I first hoped for something as creatively explosive as the Galaxy games as I was quite disappointed in Odyssey. But we haven't really gotten any 3D Mario game on the level of 64 after it. I hope that the advanced controls make a comeback.

It really should be a Mario 64 sequel, it’s just a great game and text book Mario. Sequels are always an option for Nintendo and I give them credit for figuring out something new.

Absolutely. I still enjoy later offerings like Galaxy, but Mario 64 is my absolute favorite 3D Mario experience. The primary reason being how tight and wonderful the controls are and the focus on platforming at expense of logic (ie areas don't inherently need to make "sense"), akin to say the "secret" stages in Sunshine that offer no FLUDD. I also really like Sunshine, but the Fludd is a mixed bag for me (does open new opportunities, but simultaneously makes some situations too easy).

I don't need a "cohesive" world, I need extreme Mario platforming action. :p

New concept for new hardware, as always. I'm always flabbergasted when people want a standard Mario sequel when a new generation comes. WiiU had many problems and one was that the flagship Mario platformers were safe sequels with little innovation.

I voted for Odyssey sequel, but it's time for a Super Mario World sequel and all the improvements and crazy stuff it would bring to the flying cape power-up.

We need Caped Mario back!
