Some of the people here would’ve really hated Ripley if she was a character of today, from the looks of things.
And definitely someone like Lara Croft or Samus.

It sucks that nuance is ever lacking in internet discourse, but the progressives in the game industry were warned about this multiple times.

The new one is skinny af and has a standard female build too, being bald isn't sexually ambiguous and hasn't been for thousands of years, or 30 years if you're new to non euro centric hairstyles

I grew up seeing women with shaved haircuts in church, in salon ads, and everyday I've. This is literslly just a bunch of people from the sticks having a sort of culture shock but trust me it's been normal for some time.
Steriod abuse was a big thing in the 80's and 90's among athletes and celebrities. I'm willing to bet most if not all of those in this photo was on some sort of PED.

I agree, I don't think anyone is disregarding that btw, merely that people like that exist. All that is saying is that Abby just uses PEDs lol

1. WLF has a whole gym based on it being some stadium from the past.
2. Abby's room has some board with her sets, so clearly she is working out
3. They have a whole cafeteria but more importantly
4. They have a whole ass organic farm with food and livestock

All those things support her existing the way she does as her character and a whole bunch of bodybuilding strong women existed BEFORE the existence of Steroids

In terms of the whole butch thing, I don't see it with either characters...that term to my understanding is sorta like studs or something, being athletic doesn't automatically make any of those characters "butch"

Bald women are rare. If it's common for you to see them, you must live in a city/country or take part in an ethnic background or job sector that has lots of shaved headed women.

Not bald. Shaved.

The girl us shaved. A bald woman is like Cassandra nova in deadpool(another recent sci fi bald or shaved female example)

This intergalactic girl is used a shaved haircut, and thats not an uncommon style for black women to try at least every once in a while.

Toronto is arguably among the most multicultural places in the world. The number of shaved headed women I've seen in my life are so few I cant even remember one off the top of my head. Just this afternoon I stepped out for errands and lunch, everyone seemed to have hair. A Jada Pinkett look is not common for women. Maybe in some parts of the world it is, but overall no.

Out of all the people I've met at work or school (1000s of people added up), never met one shaved headed female. Shaved headed guys is different. You see tons of guys shaving their head because it looks good or they are losing their hair so they decide to just get rid of it all.

This is gonna just round out to a difference in scenery and local customs. Theres a lot of factors going into that. But even beyond that, it's a staple of science fiction to have a shaved female character. Theres numerous examples even outside of the obvious ones.

Given this games setting snd theme it seems to be going for evoking that sort of thing.

It's uncommon for hetero black women. It's common for homosexual black women trying to behave like men. Commonly known as "studs" within the black community.

A bulking female bodybuilder fits a post apocalyptic world where they have to scavenge for food instead of going to the gym?...
Wut?
Hey it's so easy to bulk up searching for Alcohol, Sugar and Rags in the post-apocalypse.

Probably did 10 reps with that golf club every day too so can understand why she was like she-hulk.

For Abby how different do you want her? It fits the environment and character
Same for intergalactic, she fits the Cyberpunk type, she's not everyone's taste...
I don't he is the one choosing each character but I could be wrong
it fit the environment ? are you dumb ?

explain to me please how would a woman be able to have so much muscle mass in a post apocalyptic world where you struggle to find food and water , not to mention that a woman needs more than protein to be that muscular

I think it's a push for androgyny and he's on board with it. There's this internal narrative in the business that if the character looks neutral/non-binary, that it will appeal to everyone and not just men/boys. Calling the character Jordan which can be male/female and having them look that way is not by accident.

I personally liked the Abby character but she should have had a Sarah Connor type build. Thin but veiny and muscley. She looks like a champion crossift girl in a post-apocalytic world. It just wasn't realistic.
