Plus, Hulk appearing in Avengers only is mainly down to a rights issue.

Man, I feel Wright putting dibs on Antman and Wasp really hurt things did it?

Also, Pixels is doing well internationally, likely because they haven't realized the Sandler hate.

Dr Strange sequel seems more likely unless that does Antman style numbers.

I feel Strange might do better if Disney markets it like a horror film a la Insidous.

And if Hulk had made more money they'd have more incentive to clear up those rights issues. But he didn't, so they won't. They're perfectly fine just using the character as a highlight of the team-up movies, which leverages the character's appeal almost as much as a solo-movie would.
