words you hate??

Trilobit

Absolutely Cozy
Okay, so this word is so horrendous that I actually didn't want to write it out loud in this thread but here goes:

Brainfart

This word showers me with so much disgust every time I hear it that I don't know what to do. It's so obscene. I mean, your brain can't fart, but the word forces me to imagine a smelly fart bubbling up from the brain. Where does it go out? Probably through the ears, but what if it escapes through the nostrils?! Or what if you feel that weird pressure behind your eyes and you can feel the fart-bubble pressing itself out through the sides of your eyes?

So if there is actually a word I hate then it's that word.

The word 'falsely' used in the context of modern journalism, such as falsely claimed or falsely alleged. It's an oxymoron.

I am Dutch and when a friend tells me something stupid I say: 'Das ist mir Scheiß egal'. Is that frowned upon in Germany?
If something is "scheißegal" you don't care a little bit more as when something is just "egal'! 🤣 But it's been used just as regular here. Just like everything with "scheiß-" at the beginning! 🤭

I do not like them.

And "equity".

It doesn't mean what they want you to think it means.

already posted in here but "cooked" is the one that is pissing me off more and more.

"chat, am i cooked?" "how cooked am i?" "tell me am i cooked?" "am i gonna be cooked?"

STFU. that makes me want to punch someone in the face :messenger_pouting:

'lol,' 'lmao,' 'bruh.' Whenever people use those, I don't take them seriously. The first two are possibly offensive if used in an argument, as they imply that one is laughing at another.

'Nitpick,' 'Pedantic.' Usually used as a way to shield from criticism, instead of trying to learn from it.

'Hate,' 'Toxic.' Words that've lost their meaning. Criticism being referred to as hate / toxic isn't just incorrect, it's also inappropriate. Instead of calling out hate and toxicity, people put their time into calling out something good.

'Negative,' 'Pessimistic.' When used inappropriately, it's to fight the truth; 'toxic positivity.'

I suppose I hate the uses of these words more than themselves. But a word is nothing but the way it's used, I believe.

Not a word, but a phrase that idiots like to spew out to sound morally superior to anyone who disagrees:

Hater or Haters

Just a lazy Narcissist's term used to hand waive away any Criticism while trying to Elevate themselves to the Status of someone worthy of Jealousy.

If I remember, that one was driven by Youtubers because Youtube would demonetize any video that had certain trigger words like "Kill" "Murder" etc. Then zoomers picked up on it.

But yea, I agree. It sucks.

YouTube Censorship has gotten BAD

It's annoying whenever you have to edit your superchat message and replace words that trigger Susan

The weaponisation of these words and terms in the media

Falsely alleged / claimed (oxymoron)
Conspiracy theorist
Misogynistic (a real problem but way overused)
Empowerment
Problematic
