Your most Unpopular Gaming opinon?

World of Warcraft is one of the best games ever made.
I don’t think you’ll get much disagreement to that.

Even if someone doesn’t like it, they will appreciate how important it is.

My favourite game, bar none. Questing in Westfall was the best it ever got.

Those cinematic Sony games are absolute trash as they bore me to death, no matter how much care they put into it.

Boring = bad game

I played an Uncharted game for the first time this month, Thief's End and as a game it was one of the most boring experiences I've had. It's gorgeous of course, but after climbing stuff the exact same way for the 50th time I started wondering how they got away with making such basic gaming mechanics. Luckily it was rather short.

Edit: Mine might be that I think DKC Returns were bad Donkey Kong Country games and didn't respect what made the originals so amazing. The art style was very safe and boring and not as distinct as the originals. The controls felt sloppy and inexact and not as tight and fun as in the originals. A disappointment for me as a huge DKC1&2 fan.

Sounds like you just played The Plucky Squire going by this, but I agree. There's definitely some examples tho which left me embarrassed of Gamers like people not being able to figure out Metroid Dread puzzles. I think there was a thread on gaf about this.
That was David Jaffe whining lol. He was clowned everywhere, but the problem is that publishers rather listen to the one idiot that got stuck. They don't want a single person to be potentially frustrated, because that would mean a potential loss of a few sales, so better remove all potential hurdles altogether. They also got purple-types on their side, because they sell this shit as "accessibility", even though removing the "game" part of a game has nothing to do with being accessible. Metroidvania is one of the last genres where exploration hasn't been killed off yet.

I forgot that some people finally seem to wake up though, since "yellow paint" is getting some backlash. I'm not sure why it took this long though.

Friend, here is the game you're wanting.

It doesn't hold your hand.
It will swat it away and then stomp on your fingers to cripple you.

This came out in 2017 when the world was still relatively open to core gaming.

-Stellar Blade is ALOT better than Wukong.
-Souls-like games are garbage
-GTA series are garbage
-Online games sux
-Metroidvania was cool on the past, not now.
-Horizon is worst series in videogames history. And the worst protag also.
-Sony first party games sux balls.

And go on...

The games industry is so putrid right now, that i can't really post here more often or people will think im a troll.

... It was just the Halo Infinite thing all over again where certain people are just desperate for that Xbox win.

(I know doom eternal was a multiplat...
Doom Eternal release date: 20 Mar 2020, released on all platforms
Halo Infinite release date: 8 Dec 2021, released on Xbox and PC

Your opinion isn't "unpopular", it's factually wrong.

Despite its meh metacritic scores of low 70s, Dante's Inferno is an excellent GOW rip off. Just make sure to put it on harder difficulty. The easy modes are not just easier, but skip out on trap scenes. Dont expect miracles from the game, as it can feel kind of sparse compared to GOW production values, but it played at 60 fps and played fine.

Lies of P did it better. FromSoftware is overrated. Can't tell a narrative to save their life.

P.S. Sekiro is terribly shallow and never reaches the heights of any proper action game.
Your first statement and perspective demonstrate an inability to observe context clues to piece together lore and subtle narrative storytelling. You probably enjoy the narrated theatrical cut of Blade Runner over the Final Cut. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

To say Sekiro's combat system is shallow is Simple Jack-tier analysis of an action game. I'm guessing you also think Hi-Fi Rush has a deeper combat system than Ninja Gaiden Black or Bayonetta 1.

Ultimately, different strokes for different folks. (y)

I hate everything related to so called pc gaming.

Each console has its history, unique library, design, gamepad, nostalgic memories etc.

pc is just a soulless, uncomfortable, ugly piece of 💩💩💩!

Whuut? I love PC gaming. It has it's own history. A unique library of games & software. Peripherals.
You know what I think it is? It doesn't have a flashy company name that people can rally behind.
SONY. NINTENDO. I get it.
Maybe Steam? but PC is much more than steam.
Maybe PC Gaming? but that just sounds like two words smushed together.
It's like PC is the cool kid, just doing what it wants. Non conforming, Peach & Love People :messenger_peace:. We want everyone to enjoy all the games, forever.

They hate uss, because they aint uss.

Aloy in Horizon Forbidden West is hot.
Alan Wake 2 is a bad game.
TLOU2 is better than GOW Ragnarok.
Resident Evil Village is a better game than RE4 Remake. Village also has big tiddy vampire mommy.
Chris Redfield is the hottest RE character.

Modern PC gamers are nothing like the 80s and 90s PC gamers and I hope someone takes that in the worst way possible. Today's PC gamers are console gamers with extra steps.

GAAS games are fine, as long as you have self control. It provides lower barrier to entry, encourages developers to evolve games with players in mind.

People should have listened to OP and only limit themselves to one bad take...

Btw the only "nintendo difference" i see is how they get treated by the media.

I'm not talking about the order of release I'm talking about how both games where declared the holy grail of shooters on release, driven primarily by the xbox community, before enough time passed that people can now naturally go "oh yeah actually they where not that good"

In fairness this might just be because it wasn't 3rd person action adventure game so PS owners weren't intrested, but it certainly was team green putting it on a pedestal at the time.

DOOM Eternal released on march 2020 and we didn't know MS was to acquire bethesda until september. How does that make any sense.

Well, the day can only get better from here, because there’s no way I’m reading something dumber than this. Look up the dates for the things you’re taking about, and go and read the NeoGAF threads for Eternal. People - like me - have been dressing it down since literally its release day,

OK yeah that's on me, my bad.

Il just say I don't think 2016 being better than eternal is controversial anymore. Your allowed to say that now. The gameplay loop is just worse and the whole thing about trying to give doom a story was awful.

I think most controversies related to Eternal is that they took a very different approach to its design. Some people dug that, others didn't.

I will be infrested to see if the new one is closer to 2016 or eternal, if its more eternal I'm just not going to bother with it. They can fuck off with that live service BS too they had.

Wukong is not even close to be in the GOTY conversation, the combat suffers from having to see 20 animations just to finish a basic combo. You barely read the enemies attacks and the story its actual garbage. The animated short movies at the end of every chapter was super cool tho

My PC is plunked next to my 55" LG C1 and I exclusively have used a Dualsense controller for it to play all my games. So you're right. I get a way better visual experience than PS5 players though, and way more options. :)

I sometimes use the analogue stick when emulating 2d d-pad only games on the Steam Deck because its more comfortable to use that way. Forgive me for my heathenry
